done to…
Ben and Jack – Year 10 “Ben and Jack both assisted Nathan, a fellow student who
had fallen over at the end of lunch and injured his arm. As
well as supporting Nathan with staff until an ambulance
arrived, Ben also helped to manage other students who
were making their way to their lessons and ensured they
kept a safe distance.
Both students acted quickly and demonstrated their
maturity in assisting both staff and students. Many thanks
for all of your help.” Mr Arnold, Head of Year 10
All staff and students wish Nathan a speedy recovery and
hope to see him in lessons soon.
On the Hunt for Herbs…
We are looking for donations of fresh herbs, to be planted
around Food and Nutrition and used in lessons.
Any donations should be brought to Food and Nutrition, for the
attention of a very grateful Ms Wilson.
Thank you.
Year 8 Mock Interviews – Can you help? We are looking for people to give our students the
experience of a short formal interview, helping them
to grow in confidence as they answer questions about
themselves. If you have experience, a background in
recruitment or run your own business, you could help
our students gain a valuable insight into the interview
process. We will provide the questions, paperwork
and refreshments, all our volunteers need to do is
spare a few hours to make a positive impact.
Over the last three years students have benefitted
from this process, with both interviewers and students
thoroughly enjoying the experience! A previous
interviewer said they spent the day with an,
“impressive group of young people,” and one student
summed up the impact of the day by saying, “he
helped me think a lot more - he was very nice and
useful for my future.”
Date: Tuesday 2nd July 2019
