yourself-make very little money if any)• Poverty and unemployment widespread• Few manufacturing and service industries• Limited health services• Overcrowded schools• Low literacy rate• Modern telecommunications seldom found• Export minerals and resources to developed countries“If you sell raw materials, you’ll stay poor. If you use them

to make manufactured goods, you’ll become rich!”
