Peace be upon you, O trustee of Allah on His lands

and argument of Allah against His servants.

Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful.

I bear witness that you strove for the sake of Allah as it ought to be striven,

ا حق جهاده نك شهد ا جاهدت ف ٱللhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

V<,FCGL lSTFA p5Z VD, SIM"


acted upon His Book,

وعملت بكتابه hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

V<,FCGF GAL s;PVPJPf GL ;]gGTG]\ VG];Z6 SI]\"


and followed the instructions of His Prophet,

وٱتبعت سن نؽيه hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

V<,FC ;,JFT DMS,[ VF5GL p5Z VG[ VF5GF J\XHM p5Z


peace of Allah be upon him and his Household,

عليه وآله م ٱلل صلhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

V[8,[ ;]WLS[ V<,FC[ VF5G[ T[DGL 5F;[ AM,FJL ,LWF4


until Allah called you to be in His vicinity.

إلم جواره حتم دعاك ٱللhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

So, He grasped you to Him by His will

فقبضك إليه بٱخؾياره hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TDFZF N]xDGM DF8[ C]HHT AGFJL


and put your enemies under the claim

والزم ة عدائك ا ج ٱلhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

HIFZ[ S[ TDFD Db,]S p5Z TDFZL C]HHT ;\5}6" K[


although you have inclusive claims against all of His creatures.

لغة علم جج ٱلبا ي مع ما لك من ٱل خلقه ع جhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

O Allah, (please do) cause my soul to be fully tranquil with Your decrees,

مطمػية بقدرك نفسي اللهم فٱجعل hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

satisfied with Your acts,

راضية بقضائك hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

fond of mentioning and praying to You,

بذكرك ودعائك لعة مو hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZF 5;\NLNF NM:TMGM RFCJFJF/M AGFJ4


bearing love for the choicest of Your intimate servants,

وليائك ا مبة لصفوة hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZL hDLG VG[ VF:DFGMDF\ DC[A}A AGFJ


beloved in Your lands and heavens,

بو بة ف م ائك رضك ا وسhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

steadfast against the affliction of Your tribulations,

بالئك ل نزو صابرة علم hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TDFZL VFSQF"S pNFZ G[VDTMGM VFEFZ


thankful for Your graceful bounties,

كرة لفواضل نعمائك شاhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZF ,UFTFZ ;JFAMGL C\D[XF DGDF\ V;Z


always bearing in mind Your incessant gifts,

longing for the gladness of meeting You,

مشتاقة إلم فرحة لقائك hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

supplied with piety for the day of Your rewarding,

دة ٱلتقوىم ليوم جزائك متزوhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZF VF{,LIFVMGL ;]gGTGL 5{ZJL SZGFZ AGFJ


pursuing the morals of Your intimate servants,

مسؾية بسن وليائك اhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZF N]xDGMGF Vb,FSYL N}Z ZC[GFZ AGFJ


quitting the conducts of Your enemies,

مفارقة الخالق عدائك اhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

VG[ N]lGIFYL A[ 5ZJF SZL TFZL CdNM ;GFDF\ DxU], SZ


and distracted from this world by praising and thanking You.

مدك وثيائك نيا ب مشغولة عن ٱلدhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

The Imam (‘a) then put his cheek on the tomb and said:

O Allah, the hearts of those humbling themselves to You are fascinated,

ة ب امخبتي قلو اللهم إن إليك والhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

ZUAT ZFBGFZFVM DF8[ TFZF Z:TF B]<,F K[


the paths of those desiring for You are open,

اغبي وسبل إليك شارعة ٱلرhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZM .ZFNM SZGFZ DF8[ TFZL lGXFGLVM HFC[Z K[


the sings of those directing to You are evident,

إليك واضحة ن عالم ٱلقاصدي واhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZL DFVZ[OT ZFBGFZ lN, TFZYL 0Z[ K[


the hearts of those having recognition of You are resorting to You,

ميك فازعة فئدة ٱلعارفي واhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TG[ 5MSFZGFZGL VJFH TFZL AFZUFCDF\ A],\N K[


the voices of those beseeching You are mounting up to You,

اعي وا إليك صاعدة صوات ٱلدhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

VG[ SA},LITGF NZJFHF T[GF DF8[ B]<,F K[


the doors of responding to them are wide open,

ٱإلجابة لم مفتحة بواب واhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZFYL D]GFHFT SZGFZGL N]VF SA], YFI K[


the prayer of him who speaks to You confidentially is responded,

ودعوة من ناجاك مستجابة hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZL TZO TF{AF SZGFZGL TF{AF SA}, YFI K[


the repentance of him who turns to You modestly is admitted,

وتوبة من لة مقبو إليك ناب اhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZF BF{OYL Z0GFZGF VF;]\VM p5Z ZC[D SZJFDF\ VFJ[ K[


the tear of him who weeps on account of fear from You is compassionated,

مة مرحو وعبة من بكم من خوفك hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZFYL OlZIFN SZGFZGL OlZIFN[ 5CM\RJFDF\ VFJ[ K[


the aid of him who seeks Your aid is available,

ن ٱستغاث بك دة موجو وٱإلغاثه مhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZFYL DNN DF\UGFZGL DNN SZJFDF\ VFJ[ K[


the help of him who seeks Your help is obtainable,

ن ٱستعان بك لة مبذو وٱإلعانة مhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

A\NFVM ;FY[ TFZF JFINFVM 5}ZF SZJFDF\ VFJ[ K[P


Your promises to Your servants are fulfilled,

وعداتك لعبادك ميجزة hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

H[ 5MTFGL E},GL TFZFYL DFOL RFC[ K[

T[G[ DFO SZJFDF\ VFJ[ K[


the slips of him who implore You to excuse him are forgivable,

لل من ٱستقالك مقالة وزhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

VD, SZGFZGF VD, TFZL 5F;[ DC[O}h K[


the deeds of those who act for You are preserved,

فو لديك عمال ٱلعاملي وا ظة مhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

Db,}SG]\ lZhS TFZL 5F;[YL GFlh, YFI K[P


Your sustenance to the creatures are descending from You,

لة رزاقك وا إلم ٱلالئق من لدنك نازhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

5}QS/ G[VDTM T[G[ D/TL ZC[ K[


Your gifts for further conferrals are reaching them,

زي وعوائد إليهم واصلة د ٱمhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

DFOL RFCGFZGF U]GFCM DFO SZJFDF\ VFJ[ K[


the sins of those imploring Your forgiveness are forgiven,

ي وذنو ستغفر رة ن مغفو ب ٱمhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TFZL Db,}SGL CFHTM TFZL 5F;[ 5}ZL YFI K[


the requests of Your creatures are granted by You,

وحوائج خلقك عيدك مقضية hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

DF\UGFZ DF8[ TFZL 5F;[ 5]QS/ .GFDM K[


the prizes of those begging You are offered,

ائلي وجوائز عيدك موفرة ٱلسhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

VG[ G[VDTM DF\ JWFZM RFCGFZ

DF8[ ;TT JWFZM YTM ZC[ K[P


Your gifts for further conferrals are uninterrupted,

زي وعوائد متواترة د ٱمhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

TDFD RFCGFZ DF8[ TFZM ;]OZM sNZJFHMf B]<,M K[


the dining tables for those seeking Your feeding are prepared,

ستطعمي وموٱئد ة ٱم معدhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

and the springs of quenching their thirst are brimful.

ماء متعة ومياهل ٱلظhLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

O Allah, (so) respond to my prayer,

دعائي اللهم فٱستجب hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

accept my thanksgiving for You,

ثيائي وٱقبل hLIFZT[ VDLG]<,FC

and join me to my masters,

the ultimate goal of my wishes,

and the target of my hope in my recourses and settlement.
