Peak Expiratory Flow

- PEF merupakan kecepatan atau fow maximal yang bisa dicapai saat maximally

orced expiration, serta diukur dalam satuan liter per minute.- Peak fow rate primarily refects large airway fow and depends on the voluntary

eort and muscular strength o the patient.

- !aximal airfow occurs during the eort-dependent portion o the expiratorymaneuver, so low values may be caused by a less than maximal eort rather than

by airway obstruction.
