The keg will be filled withnitrogen and as the beer is added, we vent off the nitrogen, thus keeping the "head" down in the keg.The DC potentiometer allows for different set pressures based on the size of the kegs. Thepanel mater shows the the amount of pressure of the nitrogen being introduced.

A QB servo control valve can accurately maintain hydraulic pressure in a vessel by controlling anair piloted hydraulic back pressure regulator. Back pressure Regulator

A Proportion-Air QB2 pi loting a HP-Series back pressure regulator is being used to flow test new compressors. The QB2 pressurizes the dome of the back pressure regulator to the maximum pressure required in the compressor reservoir. Once pressure in the reservoir exceeds dome pressure of the regula tor, excess pressure is vented by the back pressure regulator to atmosphere. The flow meter senses flow and the external pressure transducer senses pressure. These two electronic signals can be sent back to the computer to generate flow charts.

The QB comes with either a voltage or current analog monitor signal to provide a feedback signal to the controller indicating the actual pressure being applied. Additionally the QB unit will have the Transistor to Transistor Logic option which consists of a green LED on the top of the QB can. When the desired pressure has been achieved, the LED will illuminate. Since the QB is immune to vibration, and has an optional radio frequency (RF) filter, the QB can be mounted as close as possible to the weld head thus giving a quicker response time.

In this application a QB2 is controlling the amount of force being applied. The load cell senses the force and provides a feedback to the QB2. The solenoid valve is used to extend (compression) and retract (tension) the cylinder. The monitor feedback is providing an analog signal to the panel meter to show the amount of force being applied.
