HELP DESK STUDENTS BUILD “FRANKEINSTEIN” IN EFFORT TO

LEARN

Move over Mary Shelley– yours isn’t the only Frankenstein in the

library! Help Desk students Zachary Winglewish and Carlos Garcia

built a useable personal computer from scraps in an effort to further

enhance their learning of computer parts. They call this computer

“Frankenstein”. The process wasn’t easy– not only did they have to

assemble the various parts- RAM, motherboard, hard drive, processer,

VGA, network cards, etc.- they had to check for compatibility for

hardware and software conflicts. This fully functioning computer built

by the students will allow them to troubleshoot things that teachers are

experiencing on a daily basis with minimal interruptions to class time.
