LED Set-Up

Red LED Held to station

connectors by Dowels. Opal Glass used for

diffuser, for ~uniform output.

Stability test of LED (battery powered) output was found to differ by ~2% over 2 hours.

Images A picture was taken of

all 6 station connectors in turn.

Then using code we integrated the pixel count numbers to get the light output ratio of the

D0 connector/Internal Bulkhead

Results for Misalignment of 104 Station Connector 1 --> 24.7% decrease Station Connector 2 --> 23.5% decrease Station Connector 3 --> 23.9% decrease Station Connector 4 --> 23.3% decrease Station Connector 5 --> 23.9% decrease Station Connector 6 --> 25.4% decrease Overall loss for 104 = 24.1% (includes

attenuation loss of clear fibre?) Geoff result for 104 = 22.6%

We have started to quantify the results found by Geoff.

We need to do the same for other bulkhead connectors.
