Ferrite- or Neodym-Magnet ?Ferrite-magnets are worldwide the most-produced magnets and they are the classical office magnets. They are more robust and cheaper than neo-dymium magnets. With their colourful plastic covers one can accentuate as one pleases. The shipping is uncritical (except for airfreight).

Neodymium magnets have a high adhesive force compared with their volu-me, i.e. very small magnets can be very strong. Neodymium magnets should be used with caution. They are more sensitive than ferrite magnets, they can splitter easily and the oxidate quickly when the protection layer is removed. Children should not play with them. There are special safety rules which ap-ply when using or sending neodymium magnets. Details are available under www.maul.de.

The adhesive force of ferrite and neodymium magnets does not weaken under normal conditions of use.
