LIKELY ELEMENTARY

STUDENT COUNCIL

Once again back for what’s happening at Likely Elementary School. The primary

students have been learning all about the human body in science. Meanwhile the

intermediate students have a new teacher and his name is Mr. Calvert. He’s been teaching

us current events and a scaled map of the hallway at school in social studies. We’ve been

going skating for the past couple of weeks at the local rink. Thanks to Aileen, Steve and

Jenean for the help at the rink and for the soup and hot cocoa. The school now has a new

student bringing the total of students in up to fifteen! The student council has been

counting the Canadian tire money we’ve collected. We started a secret friend draw. The

secret friend draw is where you pick a name from the hat or the container, who’s name

you’ve picked is your “secret friend”, for example, you could play with them or sit with

them. You keep the name to yourself and that’s it. And of course, we can’t forget P.E. Mr.

Calvert has taught us a few new games, there is a raft game where the mats are the rafts.

You need to move the mats so you can get across the gym, the team that gets across first

wins! Thanks for reading again, check back next month. -----Hailey-Anne
