Lima is located in South America, is the capital of Peru.

Lima is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the center of the country, on a desert coast of thePacific Ocean.

With the seaport of Callao, it forms a urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area.

PEOPLE AND LANGUAGE

Population its more than 7.6 millions habitants. Limeños are divided across class lines. They are white, mestizos , and indigenous people of Peru. There are small numbers of Asians and blacks.

The most spoken language is Spanish and a few people speak Indian languages as Quechua and Aymara.

A good thing is that Lima is the capital of Peru and its people are nice. Lima is one of the best historical centers of South America, is very scenic and lighting is very beautiful.

The bad thing is the chaos, the pollution and the overpopulation. Lima is a dirty and dangerous city.

Public transport in Lima has buses, micros, taxicabs, and mototaxis. Micros and combis are the most common means of public transportation in Lima.

Lima has only one line of metro with 21 Km, inaugurated January 2012.Lima has an airport, a seaport and some train stations.

Lima has a lot of places to visit. One very important is The Historic Center of Lima with some examples of colonial architecture:

The Monastery of San Francisco.

In the summer the tourist visit the beaches located along the Pan-American Highway.
