Volume 12, Issue #2, February 2016 Thursday, 25 February 2016 Dear Colleagues, Friends and Supporters of OIRF,

Welcome to Volume 12, Issue #2 of “The Bridge” newsletter for 2016! As a bonus (since I’m a bit late publishing this month) here are three authoritative articles from two highly respected and experienced biological medicine practitioners. Two articles are the annual contribution from our OIRF Medical Advisor Simon Yu, MD entitled: “Medical Acupuncture on Large Intestine Meridian: Ancient Romans and US Army Targets Demons” and followed by “Unscientific Basis of Anti-Aging Program: Power of N-of-2”. Then I am pleased to once again feature an article from long time member and supporter Gary Verigin, DDS entitled: “Why we need to Address the Ground System First, Before Doing Even More Dentistry”. We encourage everyone to get their free subscriptions to the blogs and/or newsletters for both of these recognized biological medicine experts. Even more new and cutting edge articles from our prestigious Board of Advisors and Directors as well as more of Carolyn’s translations of articles from current German journals are underway for Volume #12 issues of this newsletter. Next month we will again be featuring an article from OIRF Medical Advisor Michael Galitzer, MD on a new technology. Plans are well underway for the 43rd Biological Medicine Tour to Germany. Dates are now set to coordinate with the new format of the 50th Medicine Week Congress and the tour will run from 26 October through November 1, 2016. Several speakers are already confirmed:

Prof. Dr. Hendrik Treugut (he will also be our keynote speaker this year!) Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt Dr. Thomas Rau

Page Two; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Further invitations have been extended to:

Prof. Dr. Hartmut Heine (!) Dr. Friedrich Douwes

OIRF is organizing a half-day English language lecture program that will be a part of this historic Medicine Week Congress Program. As well the group will have the opportunity to participate in several other English language lectures during the Congress. Additionally – as usual – there will be several exclusive lectures for our tour participants only. Between the celebration of the 50th Anniversary at Med-Week and the OIRF topnotch exclusive lectures this tour program is offering participants the opportunity to hear multiple high ranking researchers and clinicians. We anticipate short introductions and presentations from two clinics (including Paracelsus – Yay!) and one or two instrumentation companies. At the request of a number of practitioners, we will be offering a discounted price and a small separate program for accompanying spouses. Watch for further details and then let us take care of all the mundane in-Germany travel and administrative duties as we guide you through a memorable and educational experience.

Be sure to see information about Dr. Simon Yu’s Acupuncture Merdian Assessment Training workshops on Page 17 & 18 as well as a detailed listing of Conferences and Conventions on Page 24-26. Plan today which events you will participate in to support these speakers and organizations.

As late as this Issue is being published, I did want to fill you in on the major project that is underway here at OIRF. Since late last year, I (Carolyn) have dedicated the majority of my time to the research, translation and organization necessary to prepare an application to Health Canada for the MORA-Nova from Med-Tronik. Because the older model MORA-Super has been registered with Health Canada for over six years, we are looking forward to a rapid response from them with this application. The application will be submitted to HC next week, and we anticipate notification of our success early this summer! This is actually an amazing feat, and will make this important and highly effective technology more accessible and available not only to our Canadian practitioners but also to everyone in the US. We will not be seeking FDA registration at this time due to the huge financial and legal obligations. Note that once registered with Health Canada, this device will become a “commercial” product subject to commercial sales and marketing. All educational aspects will remain with Occidental Institute, but the commercial aspects will be transferred to our “sister” company Praxis2Practice Therapeutic Systems (with likely price increases). Canadians especially who wish to remain under the research umbrella of OIRF should consider purchase prior to that corporate transfer. You can talk to Carolyn or Elaine for further information and pricing. But completion of this project is my excuse – and I’m sticking to it! Being so fully focused on this registration application for so many weeks I feel like I am just now coming up for air and I must admit that many of my regular chores and duties for OIRF have been set aside or put on hold until this project can be submitted and out of our hands. Plans for the Germany Tour have gone forward slowly to this point although you can see that I have invited and confirmed several speakers to date.

Page Three; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 You can anticipate further program and registration details shortly. I’ll also be trying to catch up with all that pesky correspondence and paperwork that has gone unanswered for a little while now. In connection with this project, Elaine and Carolyn have just returned from a Distributors and Networking Meeting in Toronto, Canada with Mr. Karsten Unger of the Med-Tronik Company (Germany). We met with two “Nova practitioners” who are planning to complete the training to become instructors for BioResonance (Dr. Karim Dhanani for one) and also another gentleman from a magnetic field device manufacturer who may be able to assist all of us with technical/repair/service issues here in Canada and the USA. Important Note: I know you are all busy practitioners, however if you are experienced with MORA (any of the models) and interested in moving into teaching, please contact Carolyn for information on the new Instructor’s positions.

Continuing in this issue (Volume 12, Issue #2) you will find another in a series of articles with concepts that are readily applicable with the methods and devices recommended by OIRF. We will show you the benefits and some of the possible applications of these methods and concepts. The emphasis will be on practical everyday application – on how you can utilize each particular method in your practice. But, we need your support. Even though we are a non-profit organization we must still pay the staff, the bills and the expenses. If our research, publication and sponsorships in this field are to continue, we need to increase our (up until now minimal) fund raising activities. We ask for your continued and ongoing financial support as we move forward into 2016: 1) Consider making a donation to OIRF for the newsletter (even though we are offering it freely) 2) Be sure that you have purchased copies of the many educational printed and electronic

publications and the audio/video training presentations available exclusively through OIRF 3) Plan now to attend the various smaller instructional seminars and meetings sponsored by

OIRF to learn more about these methods 4) Incorporate sale of the smaller OIRF recommended devices (such as the Medisend Protect,

MECOS, the “Little Ludwigs”, the AQA 707 water regeneration device, and so on) to your patients – talk to Elaine or Carolyn for quantity discount pricing.

5) Make this the year you travel to Germany with us to see Medicine Week – this is the 50th Anniversary for this venerable Congress and we are anticipating a larger than usual participation that will include many of our advisors and directors.

6) Consider which of the various devices and methods recommended by OIRF will work in your practice and make this the year that you add one or more of them into your office

7) Plan to attend the various conferences and conventions where OIRF will sponsor an exhibit/educational booth to see these methods in action and talk to us personally about how you can incorporate these methods into your practice

Medical Acupuncture on Large Intestine Meridian:

Ancient Romans and US Army Targets Demons

By Simon Yu, MD

© Copyright 2016, Dr. Simon Yu, MissourI USA Imagine divinity, humanity, and demons in a context of homeopathy, herbs, and drugs. What if I say parasites are like demons? Parasites are deceptive, evil, wiggly, shadowy characters. They literally suck and drain your energy, hijack your mind, and take over your will power. If we substitute the word “parasites” with “demons”, you can look at the history of mankind and medicine from quite a different perspective. Parasites are one of the major overlooked medical problems along with hidden dental problems. We must ask, “Why are people getting sicker with mysterious illnesses? Why are they not responding to current standards of medical therapies?” Parasites are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality on a global scale. Well over 4 billion people are infected with parasites according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) based on the standard stool and blood tests for parasites. According to CDC, 1.6 billion people are infected with Ascaris with over 60,000 deaths/year, 200 million people are infected by Flukes and Schistosomes with 20 million people dying from complications related to these parasites (Foundation of Parasitology by Roberts and Janovy), and 250-659 million people are infected with malaria with 1-2 million of these people dying every year. These statistics are based on the standard stool test for ova and parasites. The real magnitudes of the problems are much greater than CDC and WHO estimated because they are relying on the tests of stool and blood alone which I don’t believe to provide the total picture. Ancient Romans failed, as reported in the Journal of Parasitology, to slow the spread of parasites despite the introduction of public multi-seat toilets, hand-washing stations, sewage systems, and aqueducts for safe drinking water, all of which were built two

Page Five; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 thousand years ago. Romans were fond of a fish sauce called “garum.” This sauce was not cooked. They dipped bread into it. It was traded across the Roman Empire. And fish tapeworm eggs were widespread in Europe during the Roman Empire, according to paleo-parasitologist, Piers Mitchell at the University of Cambridge. Coincidence or connection? My firsthand experience using prescribed parasite medication came in the year 2001. I was deployed to Bolivia for the U.S. Army as a Reserve medical officer. We had a small medical, dental, and veterinary team. Our medical team extensively used the cheapest parasite medications provided by the U.S. Army for about 10,000 Bolivian native Indians. Those medicines were pyrantel pamoate and mebendazol. I wrote about my experience in Bolivia in my book, Accidental Cure. Before Bolivia in 2001, I used homeopathic and natural parasite remedies with moderate success based on Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA). I was well aware of hidden parasites problems. When I started using prescribed parasite medications from my experiences in Bolivia, there were dramatic responses that I never expected were possible. When I was treating my patients with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)-like intestinal symptoms, which were detected based on disturbances on the large intestine meridian, some of my patients told me, not only did their IBS symptoms get better but also their asthma disappeared, eczema or psoriasis got resolved, recurrent pneumonia did not return, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia got better, anxiety/depression improved, fever of unknown origin went away, migraine headache resolved for the first time in many years, brain lesions disappeared on MRIs on MS (Multiple Sclerosis) patients, sometimes tumors shrank, and so many other medical conditions improved. This information was not taught in my medical school or Internal Medicine training. The Large Intestine meridian is paired with the Lung meridian and the paired circuitry of the Stomach and Spleen meridian. I was not treating these conditions but just treating for parasites based on the disturbance of the large intestine meridian. I was treating with parasite medications based on 30 years of medical practice and my U.S. Army military experience in Bolivia. Parasites are so pervasive and yet so difficult to detect by our modern medical science. I have written many articles about parasites. It is not wise to rely exclusively on the standard stool test or blood test to detect parasites. We need to embrace and understand the concepts of subtle Energy Fields, Matrix, Prana, and Meridians that have been described in ancient civilizations.

Page Six; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Recently, I read, the Process of Healing by H. Van Gelder, DO, ND. He is a Dutchman, born in Indonesia, grew up in Asia, worked in India, and educated in Australia and England. He became a medical mystic and wrote in this book that homeopathy had been known for thousands of years in India according to the ancient Indian science of Ayur Veda. The story goes, Pythagoras, an Ionian Greek philosopher went to India and studied Ayur Veda. Paracelsus, another mystical scientist of the Middle Ages, experimented based on the manuscripts of Pythagoras. Samuel Hahnemann based his theory of Homeopathy on the books of Paracelsus. If Van Gelder’s writing is correct, the ancient Indian Ayur Veda might be the great grandfather of modern Homeopathy. According to Van Gelder, the Ayur Veda mentions three types of medicine for healing:

1. Divine – Homeopathy 2. Human – Herbs 3. Demonic – Drugs

Drugs are only reserved for demonic (“parasites” is my interpretation). I have tried homeopathic and natural herbal parasite remedies with moderate success. But when I used correct combinations of prescribed parasite medications in the right sequence (in conjunction with resolving hidden dental problems), there were dramatic responses to many unexpected medical conditions that seemed impossible to cure. I am convinced that deeply imbedded parasites will manifest into many faces of demonic expression of acute and chronic illnesses. Parasite medications, unlike antibiotics, are not covering the symptoms and suppressing the conditions. I am against using medications to cover up symptoms, as promoted by pharmaceutical companies. However, I am convinced that parasite medications have been underutilized because parasites are deceptive, shadowy, and demonic. Drug companies have been recognizing the demand for parasite medications and have been aggressively raising the prices. They are becoming the monetary parasites on the parasites conundrum. Those of you, who might be interested in learning how to measure the subtle energy fields with Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA) and how to detect parasites and hidden dental problems, check my web site for a special training. Join forces like the ancient Romans and the U.S. Army. Two independent sessions of AMA training are scheduled for March 18-20th and August 26-28th, 2016. This training is designed for MD, DO, and DDS. Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA)

Unscientific Basis of Anti-Aging Program:

Power of N-of 2

By Simon Yu, MD © Copyright 2016, Dr. Simon Yu, MissourI USA Millions of people are taking medications that will not help them. However, based on clinical trials and scientific statistical analysis, funded by pharmaceutical companies, physicians keep pushing specific drugs. They explain to their patients that the latest medical science proves the need to take the medications for whatever their conditions or ailments and may extend their life. Nature, the International Weekly Journal of Science, April 2015, volume 520, published an article, “Time for One-person Trials.” It explained that precision medicine requires a different type of clinical trial that focuses on the individual, not the average, response to therapy (Nicholas J. Schork). For some drugs, according to Schork, such as statin drugs routinely used to lower cholesterol, as few as 1 in 50 people may actually benefit from their use. There are many drugs that are harmful to certain ethnic groups because of the bias towards white Western participants in the classical trials. Physicians need to take individual variability into account. Therefore, the Precision Medicine Initiative was announced in 2015. This initiative includes, among other actions, the establishment of a national database of the genetic and other data of one million people and focuses on a single person, known as N-of-1 trials. To create N-of-1 trials, according to the article, all sorts of relevant data need to be collected for one person over a prolonged period. The article also addresses the difficulty in designing a control study and the enormous cost of creating databases which include genomic DNA, RNA, microbiome data, metabolomes, and more.

Page Eight; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 The Precision Medicine Initiative is trying to design a true single person “Individualized Medicine” approach to healing. Its methodology is based on mega databases, an example of which is matching drugs to specific tumor profiles for a better clinical outcome. A major advantage of the N-of-1 approach over classical trials is that patients are no longer guinea pigs. At least, that is the main goal, with physicians being aware of the unique circumstance of each patient, that is, the unique individuality of the illness as it pertains to a single person. From my point of view, one of the best N-of-1 trials is done by a family physician who takes care of the same patients over 30-50 years of their career. However, the current managed care and insurance business models dictate changes to a person’s family physician at any time based on insurance contracts. Therefore, N-of-1 individualized medicine is almost impossible. The power of the family physician observing and taking care of the same patient over a prolonged period, the true power of N-of-1 doctor-patient relationship, is replaced by mega databases of statistical analysis of people as groups, not individuals, by our government and insurance companies. The idea of the N-of-1 trial concept can apply to any individual circumstance. For example, let’s apply it to an anti-aging program. Over the last 30 years, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) became the fastest growing medical organization focusing on the extension, and quality, of the life span (anti-aging). The organization focuses on the application of advanced scientific and medical technologies for the early detection, prevention, and reversal of age-related dysfunction and related diseases. The A4M organization has been a leader in hormone replacement therapies and regenerative medicine. It has also been branching into many other related fields including, to my surprise, Energy Medicine. I had the opportunity to give a lecture on “Parasites and Energy Medicine” in a small room at their conference a couple years ago. The large auditorium was reserved mainly for hormone replacement therapy lectures. In my lecture, I told the audience that regular “de-worming” with common parasite medications plus routine dental care, without root canals, implants, or mercury amalgams, might be the best anti-aging program you can have. Even better than hormone replacements, stem cell therapy, or trying to modify telomeres. Using the word “de-worming” is based on one of my patients who is a horse breeder. She finds it interesting that I am prescribing her “horse” medications, for example, Ivermectin and Praziquantel, for her unexplainable medical symptoms. She is giving these same parasite medications to her horses. We started talking about horses and their life span.

Page Nine; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 According to her, in the old days, the average life span of horses used to be around twenty plus years. Now, with modern veterinary dental care and routine de-worming two to four times a year, these horses live easily over 40 years. That is doubling the life span simply by regular de-worming and routine dental care! In that prestigious American Academy of Anti-Aging conference, most of the audience took my statement, that the best anti-aging program might be routine de-worming and dental care, with chuckles and skepticism. I also gave a similar lecture at the Medicine Week Conference in Baden Baden, Germany two years ago and received similar responses. At that Medicine Week Conference, I met one of the founders of the A4M organization. I told him about my hypothesis, based on the truly un-scientific anti-aging program of routine de-worming and dental care, that we may extend the human life span, from an average of 75-80 years to 120-150 years, if the horse breeder’s story is true. He was interested and wanted evidence and data to back up my statement, not just a tall story. The above is my un-scientific basis of an anti-aging program. It is based on one horse breeder’s experience with extending the life span of horses and pondering the power of N-of-1. If any readers have any experiences of extending the life span of horses (and humans) based on using parasite medications and dental care, let me hear about it. That will be the power of “N-of-2.” Imagine yourself as a race horse and choose your parasite medications and dentist wisely. Those of you, who might be interested in learning how to measure the subtle energy fields with Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA) and how to detect parasites and hidden dental problems, in order to practice “N-of-1” Individualized Medicine, check my web site for a special training. Two independent sessions of AMA training are scheduled for March 18-20th and August 26-28th, 2016. This training is designed for MD, DO, and DDS. Dr. Simon Yu, M.D. is a Board Certified Internist. Why We Need to Address the Ground System First,

Before Doing Even More Dentistry 2 Case Histories

By Gary M. Verigin, DDS, CTN

From Biosis: Integrated Health Solutions

From the Office of Gary M. Verigin Issue #50, Spring 2016

© Copyright 2013, 2016, Dr. Gary Verigin, California, USA Dr. Verigin’s Comment Last time, we looked at some ways in which conditions in our environment, under the various pressures of climate change, have affected life within it. Pollution isn’t just bad in and of itself but because of the damage it does to the air, soil, animals and humans. And that damage isn’t isolated. Those changes lead to others as life tries to adapt. In turn, the whole environment becomes changed, less hospitable to life as we know it. We see a similar dynamic when we look at the human body’s internal environment – the extracellular matrix, the biological terrain. Seeing Biologically, Seeing the Big Picture As cognitive neuroscientist Itiel Dror once noted, “The brain taking shortcuts is one of the cornerstones of human intelligence.” Shortcuts enable the brain to deal with the mismatch between the capacity, the computational power, of the brain, and the need to process some of the information.

Page Eleven; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016

The fact that we have a smaller brain, that we can’t process all the information, has, from an evolutionary perspective, forced the brain to be more sophisticated, to decide what’s important and what’s not important, to have a plan. ‘What am I going to do? What am I going to need for the future?’ This is the core of intelligence: thinking what information is important, not important and so on.

But sometimes, mental shortcuts can lead us astray. You can find one example among some followers of “natural” or “holistic” medicine. The error comes in accepting the same understanding of illness and health as the conventional Western medicine they distrust or reject. Instead of drugs, they’ll take herbs or homeopathics; instead of surgery, acupuncture or other less invasive therapy. It’s unconventional treatment pursued in a very conventional way – a way that depends on linear, mechanistic thinking. And that thinking, as we’ve noted, is a real limitation of the conventional model. This mechanistic thinking also drives the belief (and hope) that if only a chronically ill person could get rid of their mercury fillings – or root canal teeth or cavitations or implants – their health may be restored. But what we repeatedly see in clients with severely compromised health from decades of progressive illness is that dental factors are just one of many physical and energetic burdens on the body, often just triggers to deeper, more ingrained health issues. Some people may tolerate amalgam fillings or root canal teeth for years – just as long as the body is able to effectively excrete the toxins. But should it fail and toxins accumulate, from dental sources or elsewhere…then you have problems. When we analyze a client’s biological terrain, current dental conditions and complete health history, we typically see burdens building from a very young age and accumulating over time. “Simple” and “easy” health complaints are treated with drugs, which add to the burden and often generate more symptoms “requiring” more treatment. The illness progresses into deeper and deeper phases. Eventually, the person may turn to non-allopathic therapies, but if they’re used in the same mechanistic way, positive results tend to be short term.

Page Twelve; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Symptoms and illnesses don’t just happen. They happen for reasons. There is an action and then a reaction. It’s the universal law by which everything functions. In regard to health, the actions are the wrong things we do (epigenetics) that jeopardize our well-being. Symptoms, infections and degenerative diseases are the reaction. In German Biological Dental Medicine, it is a crucial constitutional epiphany that when you focus on a reaction instead of the actions that caused it – when you focus on the effect instead of the cause – then you are putting yourself into a defensive position. I call it “after-the-fact treatment.” It means you’re already in an adverse predicament with your health, and it’s sometimes too late to counteract with effective therapeutics. That’s a hard truth. But it is truth. “The straw that broke the camel’s back” is a fitting idiom here. It highlights how a seemingly minor action can cause a sudden and unpredictably large reaction. Symptoms are nothing less than the result of prolonged abuse and neglect of our bodies. Trying to fight them is like rushing to save your belongings when the ship you were sailing on is already under water. For healing to happen, the body’s self-regulating mechanisms first must be stimulated. You have to spur its innate clearing and healing ability so it can finally begin excreting the accumulated toxins. Once you do, other interventions – cavitational surgery, say, or mercury removal – should prove more successful. Going this route requires a change in thinking – a willingness to go beyond simplistic explanations and superficial gestures toward cure. It requires expansive thinking and acceptance of the dynamism that life, by definition, is. You’ve got to look at the big picture. Always! To do so, let’s take a look at a couple of typical cases that have presented to our office over the past year.

Page Thirteen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Case History #1: Jane

Jane, age 54, made an appointment for an exam and consult about a pair of titanium dental implants that had been placed in her lower left jaw about 18 months earlier. She presented with some significant medical issues. Most annoying and distressing to her were the numerous skin lesions evident on her lower legs and arms. She admitted to smoking 20 to 30 cigarettes a day, having smoked since she was 14 years old. She'd had genital herpes since her late teens and bouts of genital candida overgrowths. She admitted to being allergic to gluten and spring blooms, including grasses.

Her clinical dental exam showed 7 teeth with mercury amalgam fillings, 18 surfaces total. All third molars (wisdom teeth) had been extracted, along with the two lower molars on the left. That site was where the implants now were, with porcelain-fused-to-silver crowns capping them. The clinical quality of the work was what dental school instructors or state boards would consider standard. During our consultation, Jane said she was convinced that her health had been satisfactory, mainly to her liking. She strongly believed the titanium implants may have led to the development of her unsightly skin lesions. She asked me to refer her to the oral surgeon I use so she could have the implants removed. I asked her to tell me more about the history of those sores. She said they had started to show up about 7 or 8 months earlier. She consulted a dermatologist who diagnosed the lesions as a form of eczema or plaque psoriasis – an autoimmune condition. He prescribed a prednisone cream. It didn’t help. Another dermatologist she saw suggested oral prednisone instead. That didn’t work either. Meantime, the lesions had grown to about the size of 25-cent pieces. Yet another physician thought the lesions might be caused by a staph or strep infection. He diagnosed them as MRSA-like, but biopsies generally pointed to psoriasis. A fourth physician even thought it might be a pulmonary sarcoidosis associated with psoriasis and had a chest x-ray done. The results ruled out that diagnosis. My initial opinion was that the implants could have initiated heavy stress on her greater defense system. The 8 to 9 months of latency between the placement of the implants and the appearance of the lesions could well have ignited their development.

Page Fourteen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Major interventions like the placement of titanium dental implants should not be undertaken without ensuring that the extracellular matrix and ground regulation have been properly and adequately assessed via Biological Terrain Assessment (BTA). In other words, the success of any invasive oral surgery depends on properly preparing proper conditions for a healthy, uneventful healing response. Often, the surgeon doing the implants doesn’t recognize that the sites of placement are already disturbance fields with distant effects. This was shown by Kellner in 1979 and Perger in 1990. These areas of chronic foci – cavitations (a/k/a ischemic bone disease or chronic jaw osteitis) –cause energy-consuming limitations and tissue acidosis, with increased depletion of bone forming osteoblasts. Perger called this an exhaustion of regulatory output. A focal disease, he taught, is a disease of regulation. Patients with foci due to an existing cavitation are already overloaded by previous surgical stress. Often, another surgical entry to that site will cause a more serious disruption of Ground Regulation and a shock to progressive forms of autoimmune diseases. If you then surgically remove the implants without improving the patient’s regulatory capacity, a series of progressive shock will develop. Issuing another shock so soon is apt to impair the patient’s immune cycle. It can no longer respond adequately to yet more surgical stress. Theoretically, this could provoke another more serious illness (toxicosis) such as MS or cancer. In a case like Jane’s, I would not attempt to do anything before making a thorough assessment of the biological terrain and addressing her regulatory issues. Only after success in that area would implant removal make any sense. Case Study #2: John Twelve years ago, John – then age 60 – came to our office after reading about us online. He would be working in our area for several weeks and wanted to see about having all of his mercury amalgam fillings removed. He had several root canal filed teeth, as well. All third molars had been removed due to past infections. After taking a full set of x-rays and performing a clinical examination, we discussed the risks, benefits, pros and cons of removing the fillings and root canals.

Page Fifteen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 It was two years later before I saw him again. He was again working in the area and wanted another consultation. This time, he came with a bag full of books that he’d studied to learn more about his dental concerns. There were books by Hal Huggins, Patrick Störtebecker, Steven Green, George Meinig, Robert Kulacz, and more, as well as articles by Chris Hussar, Dietrich Klinghardt and others. It was like a Who’s Who of biological and integrative dental medicine. We had a good discussion, but again, I didn’t hear further from him until spring of 2015, when he asked if I would evaluate him using Biofunctional Regulation Assessment According to German Theory. This time he was in a wheelchair. He said he’d been diagnosed with a lymphoma-like cancer and multiple sclerosis about 5 or 6 years earlier at a major west coast university. They told him that the cancer was so bad and his prognosis so poor, he should just go home and get his affairs in order. Instead, he started working with a naturopath. John said they had made a lot of progress, but then they’d reached a plateau and couldn’t break through. The naturopath wanted to know if John’s earlier oral surgery down in Mexico had been successful, if it had resolved his chronic jaw cavitations. After getting a full mouth set of x-rays and doing a clinical exam, I found he had no upper teeth. With the exception of the teeth between his two first bicuspids, all lower teeth had been removed, as well. He had just 8 teeth left – one quarter of the full adult complement. Using both Voll and Kramer Bio Resonance technique, I found only 6 extraction sites that were free of cavitations. All the others had suspected cavitations graded from medium to very high energetic disturbances. John said that the Mexican clinic had performed his surgeries over just two days. Other than the usual post-op pain and discomfort, he had no medical or dental complaints. He was fitted with a full upper denture and a lower partial. About three years later, he began experiencing some serious medical symptoms but no dental symptoms. Within the next couple years, he developed the lymphatic cancer and MS. My opinion is that the severe surgical shock that he received from those two days of invasive surgery in Mexico perfectly illustrate what Kellner and Perger had shown in their research. The shock caused a more serious blockage of his Ground Regulation and

Page Sixteen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 more progressive forms of autoimmune diseases – all because the surgeons failed to thoroughly assess the patient’s extracellular matrix and Ground System Regulation to determine if John could handle the shock of surgery. The outcome speaks for itself. Next time, we’ll take a look at how better outcomes are possible. And they are possible. Parts of this article are freely adapted from “Not Just the Mercury Fillings or Just the Root Canals or Implants or Cavitations,” originally published on Dr. Verigin’s office blog, Know Thy Health, January 14, 2013. About Gary M. Verigin, DDS For more than 40 years, we have practiced in Escalon, California, a small town located about halfway between Sacramento and Fresno, in the heart of the Central Valley. Our office has been mercury-free since the early 1980s. We follow IAOMT protocols for the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings and consistently review our office environment and practices, updating as needed to provide a safe, healthy space for our clients - especially those with multiple chemical sensitivities and environmental illnesses. Dr. Verigin has been a long time member and supporter of OIRF and we are honored to occasionally include a few of his many articles and insights as a guest author. Carolyn has been actively involved in the field of Biological Medicine since the inception of Occidental Institute in 1972. We hope to introduce the new RM10 EAV device from Med-Tronik, Germany.

Page Seventeen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA) Training for

Detecting Parasites and Dental Problems Training Designed for MD, DO and Dentists

March 18-20 and August 26-28, 2016 St. Louis, Missouri

Training By Simon Yu, MD Do you have life-time chronically ill “professional” patients that simply aren’t healing no matter what you do? Or may appear to be improving but don’t really get well? What is missing in your medical evaluation and treatment plan? The missing links might be overlooked parasites and dental problems. Over the last 30 years of my medical practice, I have developed a specialized use of a medical tool that assists doctors in detecting the root causes of illness when conventional medicine fails. Isn’t this something you would want to know about? It is called Acupuncture Meridian Assessment (AMA). I have been incorporating Acupuncture Meridian Assessment as part of my medical evaluation for almost twenty years. It has led to rather unique accidental discoveries of parasites and dental related medical problems, among others, that are often overlooked by conventional and alternative medical doctors. However, when these are addressed, conditions that are difficult to heal often get resolved. I want to share this information so we, as medical doctors collaborating with dentists, can increase the chance of healing of what was once considered, Incurables. Therefore, it is my sincere attempt to conduct a special training for medical and dental professionals on how to quickly obtain information through the use of Acupuncture Meridian Assessment. My AMA method is a simplified, modified version of EAV (Electro-Acupuncture according to Dr. Voll) and should not be confused with classical German EAV or Electrodermal Screening (EDS). My primary focus is teaching practitioners how to check a few essential acupuncture points to look for disturbances which might be an indication of parasites or dental problems. This training covers many clinical case histories that will amaze you with the healing results that occur where prior numerous doctors and specialists failed to succeed. Over the years, I also developed a simple enhancement to AMA that includes a Color and Frequency Therapy to create a Phase Contrast to uncover hidden medical/dental problems. This addition has shown excellent results for un-cloaking difficult cases. We cannot make a final diagnosis based on Acupuncture Meridian Assessment alone but it can be a valuable tool to assist your clinical decision making. It offers a quick insight – a Pattern Recognition – into initiating treatment and for monitoring the progression of healing. AMA can be applied in conjunction with standard medical/dental evaluations.

Page Eighteen; The Bridge, Volume 12, Issue #2; February 2016 The class consists of lectures and lots of hands on boot camp drills for two and half days on March 18-20, 2016 and August 26-28, 2016. This class will be small, hands on, somewhat experimental, and spontaneous. There will be two additional instructors from Canada, Dr. Robert Cass representing Avatar EAV and Gordon Johnston representing Kindling EAV. Dr. Cass has been practicing successfully with EAV for 42 years. He is the director of the Academy of International BioEnergetic Sciences which offers 100 Hour Certification EAV courses and EAV Master Classes throughout the USA, Canada, Europe, and the Far East. He is also the formulator of Physica Energetics hand crafted Spagyric botanicals, homeopathics, and matrix nutritionals. Doug Cook, DDS, will also join us for special training on dental elements of AMA. He has over 50 years of experience in dentistry and over 40 years with AMA. My primary objective is keeping it simple: uncovering parasites and dental related medical problems. Once you have this basis, you’ll be able to use AMA for understanding allergies and other hidden medical problems. We’ll touch on these other areas as well. I believe two and half days is sufficient time for you to learn to apply AMA for your patients in the week immediately following this training. The attendees, on a volunteer basis, will also be evaluated by me using AMA during the training. This training is specifically geared toward, and limited to, MD’s, DO’s and DDS’s who have an active medical/dental practice. Equipment: If you have your own Ohm meter or old EAV device, you may bring it with you. There will be two representatives for EAV/AMA equipment, from Avatar, USA and Kindling, Germany. Cost: Special Rate of $900 USD if you register and pay at least two weeks before the training. Space is limited. Otherwise, the rate is $1,000 USD. Two lunches are included on Friday and Saturday. It is not refundable. Repeat attendee rate is $600 USD. Carolyn’s Comment: Recently we have watched some of our top rank Naturopaths going back to the books to prepare for the dreaded “prescribing exam”. Personally I wonder about why our NDs are being trained and examined to prescribe (allopathic) medications when as Naturopaths they would normally “prescribe” homeopathics, supplements, herbs, etc. On the other side of the coin we are seeing our homeopathics and natural remedies being taken off the market by Health Canada and the US FDA. Where can we now turn for remedies for our patients? Note that Sanum, Heel and other North American “discontinued” remedy companies are definitely licensed and included in the software above . . .

“EXTENSION TRAINING” PROGRAM IN MODERN & TRADITIONAL ACUPUNCTURE

Over twelve hundred pages of printed materials incorporating applicable materials from the supplementary textbook (An Outline of Chinese Acupuncture) and set of four charts (by China Cultural Corp.). Program starts off assuming you know nothing about acupuncture (a good place to start even if only as a thorough review of the basics) and takes you right through to the most heavy-duty advanced aspects of true, ‘energetical’ acupuncture. The finest and most comprehensive material in the English language, covers all seventy-one meridians of traditional acupuncture; that ‘missing sixty percent’ of acupuncture knowledge most “acupuncturists” have never even heard of; and, the modern electronic ‘needle-less’ treatment methods (Electro-Acupoint Therapy) now so popular. Over 3,000 students were originally enrolled in this famous Extension Training Program, and the OICS graduate listings read like a “Who’s Who of Acupuncture” in the English speaking world. This program takes you as far as anyone possibly can in a ‘written’ format prior to the clinical finesse and practicum needed to round out your acupuncture study to professional levels.

FULL THIRTY-THREE LESSON PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD Price includes disc with all 33 Lessons, applicable supplementary textbook (An Outline of Chinese Acupuncture) passages and representation of set of acupuncture charts (China Cultural Corporation set of four).
