TO OUR PATRONS
In order to provide quality teachers and provide classes at the lowest
price, we need to be able to plan ahead for scheduling and proper
supplies.

days in advance. All classes have a maximum number of students, so
register early to guarantee your spot. If you are not registered, we are
not aware you are attending and may cancel a class without your
knowledge. We have made registering as convenient as possible by
offering payment methods via phone, website, PayPal, Facebook,
email and mail in registration. With that in mind, please remember
you are not officially registered for a class unless you have paid ahead
or made arrangements with the office.

COVID 19 REGULATIONS & PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
Clio Center for the Arts is following all health and safety recommendations, including mandatory mask use, social distancing, and health screenings of students and visitors.
Temporary safety regulations limit the number of students per-mitted to enroll in class while trying not to increase prices.
We have installed plexiglass dividers between work stations and will make sure social distancing is practiced in the class.
All students will check in as they enter the CCA and hand sanitizer & masks will be required. Each room will have a sanitization station
for the students. If a student has a temperature of 100.4 or above, they will be asked
to leave and return another time. Students who fail to follow safety procedures, including mask use
and social distancing will be asked to leave for the safety of others.

Karen Aiello— Karen studied watercolor under Robert Long for 3 years. She has taught for 5 years to adults and 1 year at the Waterbrook Christian Acade-my. Karen has been teaching watercolor since 2013 at the CCA as well as teaching the 7 to 11 Year old art classes.
OUR INSTRUCTORS
Scott Tucker— Scott graduated college with a degree in photography and worked as a professional for 20 years. His photography has received several awards. Work in stained glass has been under the tutelage of Chuck Lowell for the past 6 yrs.
Roger McCarron— Roger has been studying Stained Glass under Chuck Lowell for 10 years and will be offering classes and workshops. Aside from teaching stained glass he will also be teaching glass fusing and make & take workshops.

Tracy Henry - Tracy Henry is a new instructor at Clio Center for the Arts and will be teaching a hand building pottery class this fall. She is a teacher that has worked in after school programs for the past ten years teaching youth valuable life skills including pottery, sewing, drawing, and knitting. She enjoys learn-ing new pottery techniques and sharing them with others.
Ashley Wirsing - Ashley is a hometown resident graduating from Clio Area Schools and attending Mott Community College for her fine arts degree. She has also attended Flint Institute of Arts Pre-College Portfolio Development program. She will be teaching drawing, pottery, printmaking, and various other workshops for all to explore new arts & crafts.
WATERCOLOR WITH KEN HOBSON SPECIAL 2-DAY WORKSHOP
June 17 & 18, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Cost: $185.00 per student
**Class size limited to 8 students**
Students will learn how to keep paintings fresh & not over-worked, and use values to make your paintings impactful.
Painting skies, trees, water, scenes. Painting leaves, (this is a great place to start because we can use all the watercolor tech-niques and they are quick to draw). I will provide a number of demos, work one on one with students as much as possible,
and answer any questions. This will be a fun and relaxed time to improve your skills.
Students will need to provide their own supplies (paints, brushes, palettes, paper, pencil &eraser), also a 3 ring binder
works great as a tabletop easel.
Supply List: Cadmium Red Medium, Cadmium Yellow Light, Lemon Yellow, Burnt Umber, Sap Green, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Payne’s Grey, Yellow Ochre, Quinacridone Violet. #4 Round Brush, #10 Round Brush, Strathmore Series 400,140 pound cold press- spiral bound pad- 9x12, 11x15 (at Michael’s).

STAINED GLASS -
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructors: Scott Tucker & Roger McCarron
Cost: $25.00 per day
Weekly on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 6-9pm ** Prior experience required **
Starting May 5 & 6 through August 26, 2021
This class is a weekly continuous class in which you will work on a design of your choice. You will be able to use the stained glass at the art center, although the colors are limited. You may want to
purchase your own glass in the color you desire. There will be tools and supplies available for you to use.
Supply list will be provided on first class night

1 - Day: GLASS FUSING, Teen to Adult
Instructor: Roger McCarron $35.00 per class
Tuesday, 6:00—9:00pm
Second Tuesday of the month: Apr/12, May 11, Jun 14, Jul 12, Aug 9
Glass fusing is the technique used to join glass pieces together by
partly melting the glass at high temperature. In this class you will
learn the basics and complete a project to be picked up after firing,
all supplies will be provided.

Reduce, Recycle, Reuse! We are planning a class where you can make a unique piece of art from recycled items. Bottle caps, plates, paper
towel rolls, cardboard, plastic, etc.
We have collected our recycled items, and you may bring your own & we will build, paint, create, design. Share with others in the class.
Come join us and have a fun day creating!

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY (Adults) Instructor: Scott Tucker

In this workshop we will cover the basics of digital photography and
explore both the technical and artistic elements involved.
Week 1: Understand the various parts of your camera. We will also talk about the basics of composition and layout in your images. Be
prepared for the weather, as a outdoor shoot is planned each week.
Week 2: Discuss in more depth the ideas of composition. We will cri-tique photos taken. Again, be prepared for the weather as another
outdoor shoot is planned.
Week 3: Critique photos and discuss printing and framing options. Another outdoor shoot is planned.

WATERCOLOR

Jul 15 & Aug 12, 2021 Learn the basics of watercolor as you create a painting to take home
that evening. Students from beginners to advanced will learn new techniques and perfect your skills.

Bring your own camera (phone camera acceptable) Learn the basics of taking great pictures and how to make them
stand out from all the others! Scott will share his professional pho-tography tips with the class and answer any questions you may have about photography. We will have a competition with a gift
