Lisbon School Department’sNew/Renovation Analysis
As part of the 2010-2011 Major Capital Improvement application, the Lisbon School Department conducted a New vs. Renovation Analysis of the Lisbon High School. As a result, the engineers and architects confirmed that it was more cost effective and practical to renovate the current facility than to build a new school. The Capital Plan was then updated to include short and long-term plans to renovate the facilities in phases. We are currently on Phase II, Part III which is focused on
the Heating and Ventilation in the “New Wing” classrooms. (HVAC)
Lisbon School Department’sCapital Plan
The Capital Plan is a list of items that the Lisbon School Department deems necessary for Capital
Improvements for the next 5 years. “Capital Improvements” shall mean any construction
project exceeding $10,000, and any equipment purchase to be bonded or to be budgeted for
more than one fiscal year.
(See handout.)
