APR 13 Lisbon Treaty allows for Death Penalty across EU IanPJ Main Page 2008-04-13 A quote from Helga Zepp-LaRouche in Executive Intelligence Review, 7 April 2008 Professor Schachtschneider pointed out that it [the European Union reform treaty, a.k.a. the Lisbon Treaty] also reintroduces the death penalty in Europe, which I think is very important, in light of the fact that, especially Italy was trying to abandon the death penalty through the United Nations, forever. And this is not in the treaty, but in a footnote, because with the European Union reform treaty, we accept also the European Union Charter, which says that there is no death penalty, and then it also has a footnote, which says, “except in the case of war, riots, upheaval” – then the death penalty is possible. Schachtschneider points to the fact that this is an outrage, because they put it in a footnote of a footnote, and you have to read it, really like a super-expert to find out! Hidden in plain view, the usual tactics of Europhile lies and liars. Demand your MP gives you an explanation BEFORE they are allowed to ratify the Lisbon Treaty. Demand your MP votes against the Lisbon Treaty and this disgusting footnote. As Wonko says: The EU not-a-Constitution reintroduces the death penalty and not only in times of war, but for riots or upheaval. That gives governments a pretty free hand to use the death penalty – strikes, protests, vote of no confidence in the ruling party. Now do you understand why they also want detention without charge. The plethora of anti-terror laws are not aimed at real terrorists, they are aimed at you. Aimed at you when you want to get rid of this disgusting government. Is this what is meant when we hear our politicians speak of 'Progressive politics' or 'Post Democratic Europe'. First they will come for the political dissidents….. Using manufactured terrorism where there was none before, using manufactured scientific global problems, using manufactured national government services failures. This is why Europe is not up for political discussion, no debates, no dialogue, why reporting on Europe is it virtually banned from the press, why the EU and government ministers do their work in secret. Reform and change that is undertaken without the explicit consent of the people, can only be maintained through force and repression. The real politics is now between the Authoritarian and the Libertarian. Professor Schachtschneider pointed out that it [the European Union reform treaty, a.k.a.the Lisbon Treaty]also reintroduces the death penalty in Europe, which I think is veryimportant, in light of the fact that, especially Italy was trying toabandon the death penalty through the United Nations, forever.

And thisis not in the treaty, but in a footnote, because with the EuropeanUnion reform treaty, we accept also the European Union Charter, whichsays that there is no death penalty, and then it also has a footnote, whichsays, “except in the case of war, riots, upheaval” – then the deathpenalty is possible.

Schachtschneider points to the fact that this isan outrage, because they put it in a footnote of a footnote, and you have to read it,really like a super-expert to find out!

Hidden in plain view, the usual tactics of Europhile lies and liars.

Demand your MP votes against the Lisbon Treaty and this disgusting footnote.

As Wonko says:

The EU not-a-Constitution reintroduces the death penalty and not onlyin times of war, but for riots or upheaval. That gives governments apretty free hand to use the death penalty – strikes, protests, vote ofno confidence in the ruling party.

Now do you understand why they also want detention without charge. The plethora ofanti-terror laws are not aimed at real terrorists, they are aimed at you. Aimed at you when youwant to get rid of this disgusting government.

Is this what is meant when we hear our politicians speak of 'Progressive politics' or 'PostDemocratic Europe'.

First they will come for the political dissidents…..

Using manufactured terrorism where there was none before, usingmanufactured scientific global problems, using manufactured nationalgovernment services failures. This is why Europe is not up forpolitical discussion, no debates, no dialogue, why reporting on Europeis it virtually banned from the press, why the EU and government ministers do their workin secret.

Reformand change that is undertaken without the explicit consent of thepeople, can only be maintained through force and repression.

The real politics is now between the Authoritarian and the Libertarian.
