    There are three major components to a listing agreement. They are price, commission, and length of contract. Price is determined through the techniques employed in Section 8 of this booklet. Commission is a negotiable amount. In a Sellers market, as in the years of 1999, 2000 and part of 2001, discount Brokers sprung up. Any property sold within 10 days. With the terrorist attack of 9/11, and with interest rates climbing and the current gas crisis, properties are taking longer to sell. Current conditions reflect a strong buyers market. Your choice of a Realtor is critical to a successful sale

    Typically, the agent you select will serve you well, that is why you chose them. However, if you find that your agent is not meeting your expectations, what are your options, if any? Become familiar with the contractual obligations as stated in your listing agreement.
