Why Support Standards?
Aligning to Standards
Anchor Standard: Evaluate a speaker’s point of view, reasoning and use of evidence and rhetoric.
NJ: Pose and respond to specific questions to clarify or follow up on information
NE: Listen, ask questions to clarify, and take notes to ensure accuracy of information
1. Create an environment that facilitates literacy acquisition
2. Expose children to a wide variety of high-interest reading and writing materials
3. Use project based learning (PBL) to facilitate authentic connections between learning and life
