Lietuvai pagaliau vėl atgavus nepriklausomybę, pakilo ketvirtoji išeivių banga. Kaip ir seniau, dauguma įvairiais būdais siekia patekti į Ameriką, bet naujųjų išeivių yra ir kitose šalyse. Vieni ieško giminių, kiti – geresnio uždarbio ir geresnio gyvenimo. Galima sakyti, kad tai irgi ekonominiai išeiviai, atkeliavę ir pasklidę po didžiuosius miestus Amerikoje, Kanadoje, Australijoje, Anglijoje ir kitose Europos valstybėse. Ši emigracijos banga tęsiasi jau visą dešimtmetį ir nežinia, kada ji atslūgs. Taip pat nežinomas ir naujųjų ateivių skaičius, bet spėjama, kad jis siekia daugiau nei du šimtus tūkstančių.

Niekas tiksliai nesuskaičiavo, kiek lietuvių iš viso apsigyveno Amerikoje. Vien tik Niujorko uosto žiotyse esančioj Ellis Island saloje, buvusiame imigrantų pereinamajame punkte, registruota 808,233 tūkst. Amerikon atvykusių lietuvių. Tai – tik senieji imigrantai. Kiek atvyko po Antrojo pasaulinio karo, galima tiktai spėlioti arba ieškoti duomenų gyventojų surašymo archyvuose. Turbūt neklystume pasakę, kad per praėjusius porą šimtmečių vien tik Pietų ir Šiaurės Amerikos žemyne apsigyveno du su viršum milijonų lietuvių. Turint omeny, kad šeimos tiek Lietuvoje, tiek užsienyje yra daug mažesnės negu praeityje, pradedama nuogąstauti, kad lietuvių tautai, taip pat ir valstybei, gresia išnykimas. 1989 metų gyventojų surašymas parodė, kad Lietuvos gyventojų sumažėjo beveik 180 tūkst., o prezidentas V.Adamkus tradiciniame metų pranešime pastebėjo, kad paskutiniu laiku iš Lietuvos emigravo apie 230 tūkst. gyventojų, daugiausia jaunimo. Baugu sužinoti, ką parodys sekantys gyventojų surašymo duomenys, ir verta susirūpinti, kokia bus Lietuvos ateitis, kai pusę jos gyventojų sudarys tik pensininkai.

Vilniaus mokykloje – identifikavimo kortelės

Daugelis Vilniaus jėzuitų gimnazijos moksleivių jau antri mokslo metai turi identifikavimo korteles, tačiau jomis ateidami į pamokas ir išeidami namo naudojasi tik kai kurie, nes tai daryti neprivaloma.

Pasak gimnazijos administratoriaus Virgilijaus Sauliaus SJ, įėjimo ir išėjimo fiksavimo sistema labiau skirta gimnazistų tėvams nei gimnazijos administracijai. “Taip tėvai sužino, kada jų atžala atėjo į mokyklą ir kada iš jos išėjo”, - aiškino V. Saulius.

E. Balčiūnas ir V. Saulius sutiko, jog sistema nėra tobula. Ryte atėjęs moksleivis pasižymi (arba už jį tą padaro draugas), o į pamokas gali neiti. Įėjimui ir išėjimui fiksuoti yra skirta po vieną jutiklį prie gimnazijos vartų. Kortelę užtenka prie jo pridėti. Kai kurie moksleiviai korteles nešiojasi kuprinės kišenėje ir pasižymi kuprinę pasukę jutiklio pusėn. Tačiau įeiti galima ir nepasižymėjus.

Peržvelgus duomenis paaiškėjo, jog korteles naudoja beveik kas antras jaunesniųjų klasių moksleivis, o vyresnėse klasėse tokių – vienetai. “Pernai žymėjausi, nes buvo privaloma”, - aiškino Rūta.

Kiti kalbinti moksleiviai teigė, jog korteles netyčia sulaužė, pametė ar nuolat pamiršta namie. Kortelė kainuoja 8 litus. Ją, pavyzdžiui, pametus, už naują tenka pakloti tokia pačią sumą.

Tėvai savo atžalų lankomumą ir punktualumą tikrinti gali atsivertę gimnazijos interneto tinklapį. Tėvai, įvedę vartotojo vardą ir slaptažodį, gali matyti tik savo vaiko mokymosi ir lankomumo rezultatus.
