Team Registration and OrientationRegistration will be entirely electronic:– Each individual will be responsible for completing the rider

registration form by Friday, February 6, 2015

– Each team must also fill out one team registration formFriday, February 6, 2015

Team Meeting with Riders Council– Sign up via Doodle link given to you when complete your

team registration– 15 minutes, 7-10 PM during the week of February 2nd

– Be sure to bring the IU Student ID’s of all of the riders signed up for your team

– Rookies need to bring a copy of their class and work schedules in block format

Entry Fees– $100 Entry Fee, paid online when you register your team– $400 Bike Deposit, bring a check made payable to IU

How you can make an impact

2015 Little 500 Bikes

Each team will be given two 2015 Little 500 BikesEstimated Delivery Date: March 1st

Must have ($400) deposit before you receive bikesMust return bikes by 4pm on May 1st if you want to reclaim your depositEach team will receive 2 sets of 700x32c Panaracer Pasela PT tires which must be used for Quals and Race Day

Rider Eligibility

Undergraduate student carrying at least 12 credit hours

Must have passed a minimum of 12 credit hours in the fall

Minimum of 2.0 GPA in the fall as well as a 2.0 cumulative GPA– If you rode last year, also a minimum

GPA of 2.0 last spring

Rider ProtestsReview the Little 500 Eligibility Section in the Team Manual

If for whatever reason, you feel you should be eligible, but are not, you have the option to submit a protest

All protests are due electronically by 11:59 p.m. February 12th.

Protest forms can be found on the “Little 500 Riders” Calendar on the IUSF Website

It is your responsibility to read through the eligibility rules and know if you are eligible or not. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Rookie Rider EligibilityStandard Requirements– Must attend Rookie Week 100% of your available

time • Feb. 16-27th

• Available time being defined as anytime you are not in class or at work

• You have a 30 minute travel window in both directions– Complete a minimum of 17.5 hours between

Rookie Week and the race– Participate in a minimum of 2 Spring Cycling

Events (Fast Friday Series or Spring Series)– Pass the Rookie Test with at least 85% correct

Rookie WeekFebruary 16-27th– Riders Council has developed a day-by-day criteria

to teach you the ins and outs of how to be a successful and safe Little 500 Rider

Procedures and rules– Bring your student id’s every day– Swipe your student ID at the gate when you

enter and exit at every practice– Dress for the weather

• Wear long pants, long sleeves, gloves, and hats

– Must ALWAYS wear a helmet– Loaner bikes are available

Veteran Rider EligibilityVeteran Rider Requirements– Must meet a minimum of 17.5 hours at the track

between the end of Rookie Week and the raceMinimum number of hours logged at track practice by Friday, March 27 to ride in Qualifications: 7.5 hoursMinimum number of hours logged at track practice by Thursday, April 23 to ride in the Little 500: 17.5All riders must swipe their student id cards at the stadium gates as the enter and exit track practice

Student Coaching Requirements

Must be an Indiana University undergraduate student

If your Student Coach is returning from last year, they do not need to repeat the Student Coaching Training

If you have a new Student Coach this year or are a new team, your student coach must attend Student Coaching Clinics:

2/16, 2/24, 3/4, 3/12

9:00-10:00 p.m. Hodge Hall 219

Must meet same eligibility requirements of ridersTeams without a registered student coach will be assessed a 2-second pre-race penalty

Little 500 Spring Break Camp– March 16-20– Track is open for practice:

• 11am – 7pm

Qualifications in Brief

Saturday, March 28th, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Draw for attempt times3 chances to put together a successful attemptFastest 33 times on the day qualify for the 2015 Little 500
