Experience

2014 Established FennecFox and joined the “Ranch”

After 2 years at Game It, we had a student trip to Seattle where we in 1-month should create a videogame. Here we created “Clash” the called “Battle Metro”, that took 4 out of 5 prizes (best: /sound / gameplay/ graphic/ overall game). After this project, we establish “Fennecfox Entertainment” that has become my part-time after-school job. Clash is set to be released in the year 2015. Working with my team, (Fennecfox) has been a relief, since I finally found some colleagues with the same workflow as I. August 2014 we were accepted in “Ranch3”, as one of the many companies they granted office space and help to. In FennecFox many challenges has been reveiled form of publishing and marketing our game, and I still have a lot to learn in this field. Fennecfox games: http://fennecfoxent.com/games.php

2014 Game changer Game Jam

A Game Jam is a conference where people come together to create games in a specific amount of time. “Game Changer” was a 48 hours event, with an overall subject “Justice”. I was surprised that we under this project found a method, to define our concept in just 2 hours, making use of our experience from “Game It” using SCRUM and product backlog. Besides working concentrated with my team, I found some time to talk with other Game developers, inclusive: Rami Ismail from Vlamebeer. at the end of the event , there was no more 2D graphics work for me to do, so I helped another group “Superhuman” from The Netherlands with their web page. I experienced how open and wonderful The Game Developer world is, and it was at this time I decided to become a developer. FennecFoxEnt game jam games: http://legionoffun.itch.io/

2011-2014 Game It Netherlands, Seattle student trip

On our many trips to different locations we visited companies such as; Pop Cap, ArenaNet and Valva. We have also had personal visit to -and talks by representatives from; BlueFish, ArenaNet and Kiloo. Personally, I have spent lots of time with Christopher Orth and Julie Heyed, and they have both been a much appriciated help and support for Fennecfox and me on my journey as a game developer. Form visiting these different companies I have an inside knowledge of how bigger companies handles their teams (which is done very differently in my oppinion). Some had more fun and entertaining methods in order to handle talk-time during meetings. Others used a system to make different teams and workers move around on different projects. A typical thing was the playroom for the “Kids”, where employees could test new stuff and get inspired.
