LIVING IN CHRIST

St. Mark’s is a community of faith which seeks to engage each member in ministry that truly transforms his or her life into one lived in Christ Jesus. St. Paul wrote in his first letter to the Christians in Corinth, “Each one is given a gift by the spirit, to use for the com-mon good….Together we are the body of Christ, and individually members of him.” Our lives are lived in continual affirmation of the covenant God made with us in holy baptism. That covenant includes our inten-tions:

to live among God’s faithful people, to hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s supper, to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word

and deed, to serve all people, following the example of Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth.

Each of our ministry areas at St. Mark’s helps us to live out one or more of our intentions. This booklet is a window into how St. Mark’s is structured as part of the body of Christ. We want to help you to discern the gifts with which you have been blessed and to engage you in the areas of ministry which will transform and grow your life in Christ.

Projectionists – Joe Buck, 752-5938, Andrew Geary, 549-2668 We are using slides on a more regular basis for the words to hymns, making it easier for worshipers to stand and sing without the need to juggle books and bulletins. If you’d like to be trained as a substitute or help develop using slides at the early service, please contact Pr. Ruud. Sound Assistants—Adam Manley, staff sound technician, 396-1214, [email protected] We’d like to train some assistants, youth or adult, to provide sound management when Adam is not available or for special non-Sunday events at St. Mark’s. Bulletins - Carol Grudzien, 759-8219; Jan Pence, 752-4966 Bulletins and Parish Life are run every Wednesday or Thursday and assembled on Friday morning. If you’d like to learn how to help in this administrative side to worship, please let us know.
