Columbarium Expansion Everyone needs a final resting place, and now Prince of Peace will be able to accommodate this need for more parishioners as we

add 144 niches to The Circle of Life Columbarium. Before construction begins we are offering our remaining 8 niches for $2295.00.

There will be a price increase for the newly constructed sections.

Many people are turning to cremation as an economical, dignified way to be laid in their final resting place. The complete Catholic

service is used at the funeral Mass with the cremains. It is both comforting and strengthening to have a place of remembrance for

loved ones, and a measure of peace drawn from the time-honored practice of burial in the shadow of the church. For more

information access www.popcatholic.org and click on “Columbarium” to view FAQs, or contact the Parish office.

The Prince of Peace community would like to extend our sympathy to Gary Tate and his family on

the death of his father, Olen Tate, to Kathy Flemming and her family on the death of her brother,

Don Roepke, and to Greg Powell and his family on the death of his father, Ray Powell. Our thoughts

and prayers are with you.

Scriptural Rosary A Scriptural Rosary recital is held at 8:30 am on the first Saturday of each month in the Day Chapel. In the Scriptural Rosary, one or two lines from the Bible are said before each Hail Mary. The whole rosary takes about 25 minutes. Please bring your family, children and friends on September 7. All you have to do is join in saying the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be or just pray along silently.

Being a Grandparent Being a grandparent is potentially

one of life’s great joys. But the role of

a grandparent can vary widely. Some

grandparents live a great distance

away and have a more limited role

while others live closer and are able to take an

active role in raising their grandchildren and still

some literally raise their grandchildren. Join us on

Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 pm in Deasy

Hall with Dr. Dale Wisely as he guides a discussion

about the art of being a good grandparent.
