Light and water are a sparkling combination. Including lights in your pond or water feature creates a new

and exciting after dark appearance. Here you can create the most interesting effects, reflections, glowing

areas or put special features in the spotlight. With our range of underwater lights you can do all this and

more!! Remember we do have professional commercial lights if this range isn’t suitable for you.

Submersible Lights are usually a later or subsequent addition to a pond. They will be either a compliment

to an existing garden light system or intended to highlight the pond or a feature of it, such as a statue or a

waterfall. All submersible lights generally available are low voltage and thus need a transformer.

The wattage of a light is an indication of its brightness. Quartz halogen lamps as used in most submersible

lights, are much brighter than comparable incandescent (normal light bulbs) lights of the same wattage.

The effectiveness of a light in a pond at night depends on the surrounding ambient light. The more

lighting in the vicinity of the pond, the less effective a pond light will be.

Ponds under 50 litres and pond highlights only 5 Watt/10 Watt

Small statues and ponds under 200 litres 20 Watt (36 LED)

Medium statues and ponds under 400 litres 35 Watt

Large ponds and statues under 2000 litres 50 Watt (72 LED)

Larger statues and 2000 litres+ ponds with high ambient light levels 50+ Watt

NOTE THAT LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS LOW VOLTAGE AND NEED TRANSFORMERS.

Transformer Size Calculation: For example, 6 x 10 watt spotlights = 60 watts = Transformer of 60VA

or greater is required. If long runs of low voltage cable are used, the

transformer should have more capacity again (usually go to the next

size up or enquire for advice).

Typical lifespan up to 100000 hours = nearly 20 times longer than halogen globes.

Tornado Lights, the NEW Pond Light range, represents the easy way for your pond lighting. Very robust and economical, this new light is available in three models – 20w, 35w, 50w Halogen. These sets include a clear glass lens, set of four dichroic colour glass lenses and a 10 metre cable. These lights have the integrated plugging system, which is now available on low voltage pumps and other items. This allows an interchangeable system, where you can use the single transformer for multiple items.

Using the same casing the NEW LED pond lights are available. This new light is available in five models – 40 LEDs in white, red, blue, green and a 60 LED colour change unit. These sets share a lot of the features of their halogen cousins but with extremely lower power consumption.
