LLM IN MARITIME LAWThe Unit of Maritime Law and Maritime Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) offers a unique and highly specialised Masters programme in Maritime Law. Applications are invited from candidates who wish to specialise in this dynamic field.

Who should attend?Port industry participants, attorneys, economists and customs personnel, Maritime Law students and practitioners.

Course contentModules include:

• Admiralty Law;• Carriage of Goods by Sea;• Incidents of Navigation;• International Trade Law;

Seminars will be facilitated by leading experts and practitioners in the Maritime industry.

Applications for Masters and PhD study by research are welcome. Prospective students may contact the Unit for further information.

DurationThe Programme can be completed through one year’s full-time study or two years’ part-time study. Seminars are held in the School of Law, Howard College campus on Mondays to Thursdays, from 17h15 to about 20h00.

EligibilityApplicants must be in possession of an LLB degree or its equivalent and must have completed an undergraduate module in Maritime Law.
