Thermodynamic Solar Assisted Heat Pumps are hot water heating heat pumps for domestic and commercial potable hot water

Thermodynamic Solar Assisted Heat Pumps make use of a static aluminium panel that can be installed almost anywhere on or in the fabric of the building

Thermodynamic Solar Assisted Heat Pumps circulate a refrigerant through the static aluminium panel to renewably absorb energy day and night, which is compressed inside the system to a useable temperature which is then used to heat water

SAHP is the only UK manufacturer of this technology

We have invented, patented and manufactured our range of products

We have helped to develop the UK standards surrounding the technology

We have accredited the products at the BRE to confirm their compliance to these published standards

We have tested our products to other international standards incluing EN, UL, CSA and AS/NZS standards

BMTB

The BMTB is a Solar Assisted Heat Pump with an integrated cylinder that fits to

vented and unvented systems available in 130, 200 and 300 L capacities

All cylinders are Indirect, meaning they can be installed to

a boiler or other fuel source now or in the future

Our cylinders are made from duplex stainless steel and come with a 25 year guarantee

They are KIWA approved which means it has been assessed against

water regulation standards as being safe for drinking water

Once a week the product automatically performs an

anti-Legionella cycle, taking water within the cylinder to 60OC using the heat pump

As well as being internationally accredited, the BMTB is ErP A-rated for

Hot Water and available within SAP databases

LMTB

The LMTB is a standalone Solar Assisted Heat Pump that connects

to vented, unvented, direct and indirect cylinders up to 300 L

The LMTB heats water directly using the integral pump to circulate water within the

connected cylinder through the LMTB heat exchanger and back. Heating the water inside the

cylinder to 55OC

The LMTB is small and versatile, maximising installation locations

Once a week the system runs an anti-Legionella cycle, taking water temperature up to 60OC

Available with a double panel for an additional efficiency

The new range of LMTBs have an ErP A rating

Controls

We wanted to deliver more from our controls, such as:

Improved functionality

Improved compensation factors

and Improved efficiency

So with these ideals we Developed and integrated an advanced controller within our systems.

Intelligent Automatic Anti-Legionella Disinfection Cycles

Automatic Electric Immersion Heater Actuation

Solar Photovoltaic Integration & Operation Features

ControlsSolar PV Integration

Our new controllers have functionality to connect to existing

PV inverters to notify the controller when the inverter is exporting electricity

When the controller registers this “free energy”, availability,

the controller will initiate a heating cycle to the PE set PV Setpoint

The PV Set Point is defaulted to a higher temperature 60OCto the occupied temperature set point,

allowing more energy - Up to 3.5kW, to be stored within the cylinder from this free utility for use by

the end user later on

The PV Temperature Differential provides a smaller differential by default than

the occupied temperature differential, thus allowing the heating of the water more

frequently making better use of the ‘free’ energy while it is available

To integrate the system controller to the Solar PV Inverter, only a 2 core cable

connection to connect to the Solar PV inverter relay or accessory pack is required
