Advantages in detail:

• No limitations for "Q-max“-vessels (345 m LOA)

• An additional extension of the deep water fairway is not necessary

• An LNG terminal can be reached with a Q-max tanker at any time independent of the tide and does not require an additional maritime police permit on the river jade

• Terminal approach is only about 23 nm (10 kn = abt. 2 h)

• The river Jade offers enough space to accommodate additional LNG traffic without any major restrictions to be expected

The “Deutsche Flüssigerdgas Terminal” Gesellschaft (DFTG) and “Uniper” has already been considering this for several years with the aim of upgrading and expanding the existing facility

The jetty would be located in the deep water area, but still about 800 m outside the fairway
