Workflow

This article shows how to import a log file which has TVDSS/TVDSRD information in a deviated well & lacks measured depth.

The WorkflowCompute TVD/TVDSS with the help deviation data (AZIM, INC, X,Y)Load the log file (*txt) which contains TWT, GR, Rho as check shot type (slide7,8)Export your desired curves (GR, RHO) in MD as las file.Re-import the newly created las file in the same well with MD as depth reference.

Dummy Well Creation

• Create a dummy well with KB and surface elevation as Zero (0).• Load deviation geometry in this well for MD and TVD information.

Load the *txt(log file in TVDSRD) as a check shot file

Skip 2 rows and SRD depth in 2nd column

Export/Re-Import las file

Export the LAS file containing the desired curves with depth reference measured depth. Then re-import the file.
