Cattle breedingOf course, this doesn’t mean that the other domains are less important. Cattle breeding is of equal importance, as it offers place of work to a big number of people. As a result, great amounts of meat, butter, cheese and yogurt are produced.

Evrofarma is a modern dairy industry established in 1994 in Didimoteicho. It collects milk from the farms of Macedonia and Thrace, process it and produce fresh milk, yogurt, traditional cheese and slurry (Ariani).

Commerce… and not onlyLast but not least remains the commerce, the third domain on which our region’s economy is based. Moreover, the large number of shop owners constitutes part of our economy.Although it is the less developed, it occupies many local producers. (such as honey and wine producers).
