Methodist Hall: steepish ramp, wide doors, wheelchair accessible plus w/a toilet but with limited turning, induction loop. Old Ship Inn: some steps – ring 0115 966 3049 for details. Travel Lowdham is off the A6097 (Bingham to Doncaster) and A612 (Nottingham to Southwell) between Newark and Lowdham. Lowdham railway station is a brisk ten minute walk from the Village Hall. Pathfinder 100 buses drop off ONLY at the bottom of Main Street by the cricket ground/war memorial, seven minutes from the Village Hall. Catering mm...deli will be running a cafe 10.30am - 4.30pm (between events) on Saturday and Sunday in the Viillage Hall, serving their usual great mix of delicious sandwiches, panini, cakes and hot drinks. Car Parking There is car parking at the Village Hall and on and off Main Street. There is limited car parking at the Methodist Chapel.

On Your Bike – 125 Years of Raleigh Bicycles – with writer andhistorian Tony Hadland3.45 – 5.15pm Lowdham Village Hall, Main Street, LowdhamFounded in a Nottingham back-street, and turned into a huge enterprise by a ropemaker’sson who became a baronet, Raleigh was once the biggest bicycle company in the world.The firm has also made motorcycles, cars, munitions and gears for bicycles and motorcycles.This talk introduces some of Raleigh’s key personalities and products and gives an insightinto the massive industrial enterprise that meant so much to the city. An Evening with Billy Ivory7.30 – 9.30pm Lowdham Village Hall, Main Street, LowdhamBorn William Ivory in Southwell, Notts, and educated at the Minster School, Billy Ivory ispassionate about the East Midlands, and his writing is heavily influenced by living andworking in the area where he was born and bred. Once working as a dustman on thestreets, today he’s better known as one of Britain’s leading television and theatre writers.Amongst his well known and loved work is ‘Journey to Knock’ (1991), ‘Common as Muck’(1994-1997) and ‘Made in Dagenham’ (2010).
