LocalWiki (localwiki.org) is a grassroots effort to collect, share and open the world’s local knowledge. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Part guide for residents, part local encyclopedia, and part silliness, LocalWiki is the open, people’s guide to your community. An API for your city With LocalWiki, we aim to create the free, universally accessible platform for local knowledge. We see LocalWiki as bridge between open data and local knowledge. It's easy! Contributing to LocalWiki is as easy as making a Facebook post. Everyone knows something about where they live and everyone’s knowledge – no matter how small you think it might be – is welcome! We don’t run any advertisements, and we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Global community Today, there are over 98,000 pages in LocalWiki across over 230 communities, in 15 countries and 7 languages. Every month, over 400,000 people use LocalWiki.
