Our Institute Carmagnola II has seen two pupils grow and then become national heroes: ILENIA Cordola – Basketball LUCA Adami-finswimming Luca is 18 . He attended St Michele school from 2001 to 2006. He has to thank the school swimming courses and his parents who gave to him the possibility to get into the water since he was 18 months. When he grew older they always accompanied him to the pool of Carignano. From that moment he started swimming in the 1st, 2nd , 3rd level and then he started competitive level. He won the first bronze medal when he was 12. When he was 15 he won 5 gold medals in the Italian championship in Bari. Last year he took part in the Italian National team. With the end of the Italian Finswimming Championships for Age in July, the Junior Finswimming Team represented Italy during the Junior Finswimming Championships on July 15th-20th 2012 in Graz 5 gold medals won by Luca Adami “When I managed to get swimming in the National team, in addition to the support of those who are close to me, I believed in myself and I never gave up. When I can't get on the podium by 2 or 3 hundredths of second, it makes me feel bad, in fact I cry. After hours of training every day it means I have not done enough. Then I start to believe again in myself and I get busy to give my best”. “Often I do not agree with non-sporty and aggressive attitude of someone. I believe that in all sports we have to be fair, loyal and to feel worthy. Even if we play against each other, we have to be always friends”.

Luca is 18 . He attended St Michele school from 2001 to 2006. He has to thank the school swimming courses and his parents

who gave to him the possibility to get into the water since he was 18 months. When he grew older they always accompanied him

to the pool of Carignano. From that moment he started swimming in the 1st, 2nd , 3rd level and then he started competitive
