The Barns’ Merton Grange is situated in an idyllic rural location on the edge of Gamlingay in South Cambridgeshire. The approach is

via a private drive with far reaching views either side across fields.

These unique barns have Grade II listed status and are being sympathetically restored keeping many of the original features. There is one 2 bedroom barn, one 3 bedroom barn and six 4 bedroom barns. Each barn is individual and all have gardens with three benefitting from paddocks.

Location Gamlingay is one of the largest villages in Cambridgeshire. It is also one of the best recorded. Before the conquest the village is thought to have been centred on the Station road area as Saxon bones from the burial ground were found in the 1980’s.

In 1260 Merton college in Oxford was founded by Walton de Merton who gave the college land in and around Gamlingay, much of which it still owns today.

The village is approximately 19 miles from Cambridge and 16 miles from Bedford and within the A1 corridor. The village has a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and local industry and many societies covering a wide range of interests.

The Eco hub is probably the most energy efficient building in the country and hosts many community activities.

Gamlingay is approximately a 15 minute drive from Biggleswade and a 12 minute drive from Sandy which have large supermarkets plus all the main banks, high street shops and mainline train stations to London Kings Cross (40 miinutes) and Peterborough (35 miinutes).
