The GaDoe has proposed that 30% of students test online. All read aloud administrations will test online. Henry County schools will target Grades 4 and 7 and all high schools for online testing along with all read aloud administrations.

Important Announcements
Ms. Grogan’s instructional focus club will be collecting items for two missions here in Georgia. Simply bring in any of the listed items, and her students will come and pick them up from any classroom.
Needed Items: Gently used stuffed animals, travel sized shampoo, soap, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, granola bars, razors, wash cloths
Missions:
Project Snuggle - A delta flight attendant collects gentle used stuffed animals to give to passengers who may be having a difficult flight. This includes children who may be frightened, people who have lost a loved one, people traveling for medical treatment, etc. Please donate your gently used stuffed animals.
Homeless Missions - Please donate travel size products for distribution to the homeless. They accept complementary hotel products.
FBLA gathered and delivered over 300 valentine's day
cards to Egleston Children's hospital. Thanks to all
the homerooms that participated!
Mr. King’s culinary arts club was featured on Quinn’s corner, a local television show. The crew came out on Wednesday, February 11th to film. Here is the link to the TV show on the local cable channel.

Trip around Georgia deadline and info
The final deadline for the Trip around Georgia payment is 3/2. There will be a parent chaperone meeting on 3/17th.
The Diamonds in the Rough club will be participating in the
“Stomp D.A.T.” youth step event on March 7th. They will also be hosting a school Dance on March 27th. Students must have a permission form in order to attend the dance. See the flyer below, and check the school website for more information!

Sports Corner
Congratulations to the 8th grade girls basketball team for finishing the season strong as county runner up! This is the first time in school history that the girls basketball team has made it this far in the county tournament, and all of the girls did a great job.
