Heat Detective setHelp Agent Flask discover the mystery of invisible heat energy. Make science fun through investigation such as “Hot Hats”, “Escaped Prisoner” and “Find the Genie”.
Heat Detective is based upon a special type of sensor which allows students to discover & experiment with ‘invisible’ infrared in a fun way. It comes complete with a set of printed student worksheets in which Agent Flask tries to solve various cases such as Escaped Prisoner (body heat), Hot Heads (insulation) and ‘Where is the missing heat?
The Heat Detective set includes the special infrared detec-tive sensor and a printed set of students worksheets which is freely copiable by the purchasing school and includes a section of teachers notes and suggestions to accompany the worksheets.
Electric Detective setFollow Agent Flask as he helps students explore and experience Green electrical energy from natural resources like the wind, the sun and even fruit!
Using the Explorer Voltage Probe included in this set stu-dents can safely and easily experiment with different forms of environmentally friendly energy to light a lamp or run a small electric motor.
The kit includes a model Wind turbine, Solar cell, Copper and Zinc terminals to make electricity from fruit or vinegar, Battery holder for reusing old batteries and an Explorer Voltage probe to investigate and record which was the most effective! A comprehensive 30 page booklet of printed photocopiable classroom investigations featuring Agent Flask completes the set which is designed to make it easy for teachers to show young students how these new forms of energy are changing all of our lives.Both sets are supplied in a standard Gratnells tray for convenient storage in schools.
Note this set also needs fruit, vinegar or old batteries to carry out all investigations fully. Some ideally need a Sunny or Windy day just like the real thing, although these can also be simulated with a desk lamp or hair drier!

Explorer Multifoam Insert
This foam inserrt neatly stores any LogIT model and fits Gratnell trays (not included).In single Explorer packs, one is supplied as standard and for 5 packs, two are supplied. Each foam stores up to 3 Explorers.
Note: One or two Multifoams will fit a standard size Gratnell tray.

Cases
Explorers are supplied with a single or double LogIT Multifoam insert for use with Gratnell trays. However, the original large carry cases are available separately for spare parts or storing extra Explorer equipment.
