Wanted: Poverty-busting, cash-raising, life-changing mobile phones, iPods, tablets and more… recycle with Oxfam and raise money to fight poverty.
Hey, blud.I gotta new
phone.I chucked my old one in the
bin.
Dude, that is like so lame. Don’t you know what you can do with your old phone?
Look, I said I was sorry.
How about I listen to your words of
wisdom about my old Nokia?
Okay, but don’t make fun of my Samsung
again.
There is a scheme on earth, where
people can recycle old mobile
phones
Even only it’s a
rubbish iPhone4?
Even rubbish iPhone4s.
Where do I take my old phone?
Does a frost giant appear?
If you are lucky and go to the
Hollyfield School, on January 23rd,
they can be collected and given
to Oxfam
Wow, I wish I went to
Hollyfield
Oxfam will recycle the
phones and use any parts they
can to raise money to help
those in the third world
So, Hollyfielders, do your bit.Bring in your old mobile
phones, wipe the memory and be in with a chance of
winning a huge box of chocolates for your form!
Then you’ll be as cool as me.
Well, almost…
On the 23rd of January, 8Jupiter will be coming round during morning registration to collect any old mobile
phones you no longer need. The form who brings in the most phones will be given a
box of chocolates to share!
So what actually happens (the Science bit, if you will)• Mobile phones get a thorough going over. If they can be refurbished,
they'll be repackaged and put to good re-use.• Duds are passed on to specialist recyclers. These people are
environment friendly and responsible. They dismantle every part safely - including every bit from the battery - for re-use in the industry.
