ACIS 1504Page: 6 of 13Natural History Museum Hundreds of exciting, interactive exhibits in one of Londons most beautiful landmark buildingsContains 70 million items within five main collections: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Paleontology and Zoology.Highlights include the Dinosaurs gallery and the amazing, realistic modeling of mammals and animalsThe importance of this museum is inconceivable as it comprises animals from the beginning of earths existence to current life formsOne of my favorite places to visit because I love nature and the outdoors as an Eagle Scout

ACIS 1504Page: 7 of 13Tower of LondonWas constructed in 1078 by William the ConquerorThe history and background of the grim reputation as a place of torture and death is interesting to see and witness for yourselfHowever, there is also an unknown beauty of the TowerIt served as a royal palace and is an architectural marvel to this dayWas a key armory and a powerful fortressThere is a presence of the wild and wondrous animals that have inhabited the Tower that actually make it the first London Zoo.This type of history fascinates me because of the profound impact it held and still holds in LondonI find it particularly interesting due to the common misconception that it was solely a torture chamber when it had many other roles that people do not know about

ConclusionLondon is a complex, world renowned metropolis that is one of the most popular cities for tourists to visit at any time of the yearThe vast history and influence from the Elizabethan Period has a profound handhold in city architecture that makes the city more than a simple tourist attractionThe weather, sports, government, ethnic diversity, and local attractions all suit my personality perfectly because they mix learning and personal interests I hope to study abroad there soon with Virginia Tech to experience London for an extended period of time and really delve into the London culture
