Ron is an inspiring person, serving for 22 years in the army, then 13 as a driving instructor he was no

longer able to work due to eyesight problems. He has been a

vendor for 2 years and The Big Issue Foundation have been

supporting him through a corporate placement scheme and much more. Read more about his

• Route is fully guided at a ratio of 12 participants to 1 guide

• You won’t get lost as guides know the route, no need for a map

• They’re a great opportunity to help you learn about cycling techniques, such as riding in a peloton

•Different guides go at different speeds so everyone can go at a pace that is comfortable for them

• They can offer mechanical support should anything go wrong with your bike along the way

Day to DayDay to Day

• (Early) morning start – 7am / 7.30 am– Different start times for each group

• Briefing from your guide• 3 x Refreshment stops per day

– Options to change speed groups at these stops

• Check in at hotel in the evening• Guides fix any mechanical issues• Evening meal• Evening briefing from Event Manager• Sleep!

Day to DayDay to Day• Luggage is taken in our support vehicles

– One main bag (soft cabin bag size please)

– One rucksack you can wear whilst cycling (optional)

• Take what you need for the day (any specific snacks you would like although all snacks are provided, your phone and a little cash for emergencies)

• Energy drinks / recovery shakes provided

• Medic(s) on hand throughout the event

• Bikes transported in our vehicles– They are NOT covered under our insurance.

Please arrange your own and state value of your bike on your policy

– They WILL be protected by blankets in the vans

DAY 4: Paris to St PancrasDAY 4: Paris to St Pancras

• Free time in Paris to watch the Tour de France or spend as you wish• Relax as you will be travelling by Eurostar• Bikes will be at St Pancras when you arrive (if you would like to stay

on in Paris you can keep your bike in Paris with you or arrange for someone to collect them at St Pancras, unfortunately they can’t be left with us)

• Train departs at 20.13 and arrive back into London at 21.39

Equipment / BikesEquipment / Bikes• Road bike is preferable. If you don’t have a road bike

then ensure you have slick tyres on your bike• Protect your head – Helmet is mandatory• It’s all about the padding! Shorts, gloves etc• Waterproof/windproof layer• Pedals & shoes/trainers• Spare tube & pump• Water bottles x 2• pie support vans will carry all your belongings• Support vans will carry a variety of equipment to fix

basic mechanical problems which will be charged to you at cost price
