If adults would like to attend along with their 4-H'ers your cost will be $23.50. Money must be turned in at time of regis- tration. AOS will be an all day activity, leaving at 7:00am and getting back around 5:30pm. Classes planned are: Team Challenge, Canoeing, and GPS Technology. NO Broiler Chickens will be delivered this year. EPIC CAMP (Exploring Places in Independence County) June 22nd and 30th - 8:30am to 3:30 pm (time change) This camp is design for ages 10-19 to go out into the community and visit companies and establishments. Examples are as follows: WRMC Laundry, Intimidator, Batesville Guard, Melba, Fire Department, etc. Must call the Extension Office to sign up for these two camps. June 12th—Craft Workshopthis workshop you will make all kinds of different crafts. Workshop will begin at 9:00am to 3:00pm— 4-H’ers will make lunch at the workshop. Any age is welcome! Please call the Extension Office to regis- ter so we will have a count of how many to prepare for. COUNTY FAIR TIME – JULY 17-22 The Independence County Fair is the first activity for the new 4-H year. We hope everyone

will take exhibits, such as vegetables, flowers, photos, arts, crafts, livestock, etc. to the fair . This entry will go toward the 2017-2018 County Trip. Lets have a record number of entries this year. Fair books are online at icfair.com if you want to see the different categories you may enter items in. Fair catalogs are at the Extension Office!

4-H Poultry Layer

Chicks must be tested

this year!

FAIR HEALTH CLINIC for Livestock (cattle & swine) and poultry entering the 2017 Independence County Fair. They are required by the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission to have a health certificate issued within 90 days prior to exhibition. The only animals that are exempt from this requirement are water fowl, sheep, goats, steers and rab-bits.

The county Fair Association will sponsor a FREE Livestock & Poultry Testing Clinic on June 22nd, 4-6 pm.

Animals that pass the tests will be issued a health certificate that will satisfy the Livestock and Poultry Commission’s requirement. This is the only testing paid for by the Fair Association; testing at any other time will be at the exhibitor’s expense.

Goat Exhibitors! Remember you have to get a Scrapie Tag for each goat.
