 Look Who’s Talking Too Look Who’s Talking Too  is the 1990  sequel  to direc- tor Amy Heckerling's 1989 comedy Look Who’s Talkin g. The lm stars the original cast members  John Travolta and  Kirstie Alley  as James and Mollie, the parents of Mikey (voiced by  Bruce Willis), a toddler coping with the newest addition to the family, baby Julie (voiced by Roseanne Barr). In addi tio n to this, he is havi ng trou- ble using a potty, and the unorthodox advi ce he gets fro m his playmate, Eddie (voiced by Damon Wayans), doesn't make his problem any better. [1] 1 Plot In between the events of Mollie and James saving baby Mikey from almost being hit by a car, and him going into th e hos pi talwithJames to seehis ne w bab y si st er. I t ope ns with Mollie and James preparing to have sex, with him ens uring her. Mik ey gets scared of a mons ter and cal ls f or his parents, to whi ch James co me s in and goo fs aro und with some of Mikey’s toys, causing Mikey to forget about the monster and f all asleep. James returns to the master bedroom only to see Mollie asleep as well, but he gets her back in the mood and the y contin ue. The lm cuts to his sperm cells traveling toward her egg; however, it teases them since the diaphragm is blocking them from getting it. One manages to get around it, and a baby girl is concei ved. They tell Mik ey that he’s got to be potty- trained. Mollie dis cove rs she’s pr egnant. Mike y learns that with his new baby sister on the way, he has to be a res pons ibl e big brother . Whe n she is about to be born, her umbilical cord gets caught around her neck, putting her in distress. She is born throu gh a  C-section  and is taken to the nursery. She is named Julie. James works diligently at his job as a taxi driver, but he is struggling to support a family. It is not helped one day wh en he ta kes Mi key to wo rk in hi s ca b, wh o f oo ls ar ou nd wi th the f are box and cos tsJames a customer. When Mol- lie’s par en ts seeJameshasav ia ti on skill s, the y tak e advan- tage of their connections to get him a job as a corporate jet  pilot . James struggl es with ornery and disrespectf ul customers at this job too, but deals with it for the sake of Mollie and the kids. Howev er he star ts to get mor e temperamental and starts to frequently argue with Mollie (Who is more temperamental lately as well due to preg- nancy hormones.) as a result. When she and Mikey meet, he says hello, even though he was excited about becoming a big brother, he gets jeal- ous of her immed iat el y. One day, Mike y and his play - mate, Eddie, try to walk owith her stroller and decide to ditc h he r atthe zoo. Mo ll iesto ps th e bo ysand wh enshe does, she catches them with a crack pipe (which greatly dis gust s and fri ghte ns her). She and Jame s g ht about her slobbish and rather  right-wing brother Stuart staying there (and the fact he keeps a loaded gun in the apart- ment) which leads to her kicking James out. Stuart soon develops a romance with her best friend Rona and they eve n start dating. Mike y is upset about James being gone and out of ang er, he tears up one of Jul ie’s f av ori te stued penguins (which she calls "her friend, Herbert "). James occasionally hangs out with his kids (including scamming their way into a movie theater) and has fun with them. Meanwhile, Mikey is having trouble using a potty so he ge ts some advi ce f rom Edd ie , wh o’s alr ead y potty tra in ed. However, he warns him about Mr. Toilet Man, who’s ac- tually just a gment of their imaginations. One day, Julie sees Herbert’s head and decides to learn to walk and leave. She manages to walk without support. Mollie sees this, gets excited, and calls James and Stuart. Mikey realizes one night that he hasn't been very nice to her and decides to try to do so. Moll ie real izes tha t she needs Jame s to hel p her. She dresses up in an attempt to get back together with him (although it never occurs to her to ask him back or kick her gun-toting brother out). A few days later, Mike y uses the toilet and calls his parents, who are immensely proud of him. Moll ie exc laims that she hasn 't felt that happ y about him since he was born. One ni ght, Mol li e wa tc he s th e ne ws and le arns th at st orms ar e all ar ound th e ar ea . She go es to ge t to Jame s be fore he takes o, leav ing Stuart with Mike y and Julie. At some point in time, a burglar breaks in and runs when Stuart comes in with his unloaded gun. He is completely obliv- ious to the fact that he left an oven mitt on the hot stove, causing it to catch on re. It falls othe stove onto some news papers, causing a bigger re. Mike y and Julie panic. He pushes her out of the apartment and saves them both. Mollie and James catch up with Stuart and ask where Mik ey and Julie are. The coup le see the smok e in the apartment and run in to retrie ve them, just to nd the two kids arriving in the ele vator. James runs in, gets the re exting uisher, and puts out the re. The police arrive soon aft erw ards and arrest the thief . Rona arriv es and once she hears about how Stuart helped save the day, she falls deeper in love with him. She asks him to marry her and he agrees. The next day, James, Mollie, Stuart, Rona and Mollie’s 1

    Casting

    The bum teaser at the end of the original Look WhosTalking portrayed Joan Rivers, under the pseudonymBaby Guess, providing the voice of baby Julie. Dueto scheduling conicts, she declined the role.Also appearing are Olympia Dukakis, Elias Koteas, andGilbert Gottfried. Further vocal talents include DamonWayans in a supporting role as Mikeys friend Eddie. MelBrooks makes a cameo appearance as the voice of Mr.Toilet Man. This lm was followed by another sequel,Look Whos Talking Now, in 1993. Baby actors in thelm included Lorne Sussman and Megan Milner.

    4 Alternative versionsOn Fox Family, instead of James saying Don't make melook like an asshole, he said, Don't make me look likea jackass.When the lm airs on ABC Family, many of the lmsdeleted scenes (such as Mollie threatening Mikey with aspanking if he takes his sister away again) are shown. Onenotable addition is a running gag where Mollie chats withher friends and folks and it ignites a daydream of Jamescheating on her. There is even one sequence where sheimagines him as John Lennon and parodying his activism.In one version. James and Stuart have a conversation afterhe arrives to James and Mollies apartment.

    5 ReceptionUnlike its predecessor from the previous year, it receivedmostly negative reviews. Rotten Tomatoes gives the lma score of 17% based on reviews from 12 critics.[2]

    It grossed $47,789,074 at the box oce,[3] making it amoderate success at the box oce.It was also nominated for two Razzie Awards includingWorst Supporting Actor for Gilbert Gottfried and WorstSupporting Actress for Roseanne Barr.
