• To be China's partner of choice for policy and commercial cooperation in health and social care issues in order to:– Unlock commercial opportunities for UK
businesses;– Further UK global health policy objectives.

How we use the Strategic Prosperity Fund
• There is a pot of money. Two criteria:– Influence policy– UK commercial outcomes (or v strong UK priority)
Looking back at the areas of work – Elderly care – Pharmaceutical policy – UK primary care model – Green Hospitals– Working up a project on diabetes (with CBBC)– Antimicrobial Resistance

• Whenever we start a project, we engage with UKTI, Healthcare UK and CBBC
• Very happy for suggestions from business about policy blockages. Projects can be large or small
• Monthly newsletter, annual factbook• Would be happy for suggestions of how to
work together more closely
