MATERIALSLotus Jewelr y Studio uses s ter ling silver, 14K gold-f illed or gold vermeil to assemble all of their products and components. Ster ling Silver: silver containing 92.5% by weight of f ine silver and 7.5% by weight of other met-als, usually copper/nickel. 14K Gold-Filled: Through a heat ing and bonding process, 14K gold is permanently bonded to an alloy base that will not f lake or chip. Str ic t regulat ions govern the process mandat ing that gold mus t make up a minimum 1/20 of the total weight. Gold Vermeil : s ter ling silver coated wi th 14K gold. To be considered vermeil , the gold mus t be at leas t 14K gold and be at leas t 2.5 micrometers thick.
