Web based communication is any form of communication

that is done via the internet . This includes things like

- Vlogs

- Podcasts

- Video conferencing

- Web pages

This is a very useful feature of the internet as it allows

people to socialize with friends and family without

being in the same country!

Blogs

Blogs are online logs which are usually ran by one

person or group and are used to discuss a particular

topic or express opinions on different topics.Blogs are a

very effective way of communicating with others and

there are many websites which you are able to blog on

like blogger, web press or live journal. When you create

a blog it become public and can be viewed by anyone

which means that it can be very effective when it comes

to expressing your opinion.

This Is a example of a Blog, as you can see they are fully customisable and there are many different modifications that can be made.

A Vlog is similar to a blog but rather than

expressing yourself through written

communication you video yourself talking about

your views and opinions. This allows you to be

more personal with the audience and to express

emotions and feeling more effectively. There are

several sites dedicated to Vlogs like freevlog and

Vloggercon these sites are good as they suggest

other relevant Vlogs. Most Vloggers will upload

there Vlogs to YouTube as it is very popular for

Vlogging.

Podcasts are radio styled talk and music shows

that are downloaded from the internet onto a

Media player like a Mp3 player. Podcasts are

free and they give you the ability to listen to

them where and when you want to. Podcasts

can be downloaded from websites like iTunes

and Podcast.ft.

Video Conferencing is another very effective way

of communicating over the internet. Not only is

it effective but its cheap as long as you have a

microphone and a camera you can chat with

up to 10 people in a single call! Video

conferencing is widely used from personal to

business use video conferencing has changed

the way we can communicate today. Video

conferencing has become very vital for some

businesses , without it they would have trouble

communicating over long distances. This

helps productivity and reduces travel costs as

it can all be done from the office.
