APPLICATIONS

- 30 - 34

Steel made under vacuum degassing, having an enhanced machinability through Calcium inclusion treatment. Main benefits are hardness uniformity with a variation under 2 HRC throughout the part’s cross section. Excellent weldability. High polishability (except for mirror-like grade) and high performance and manufacturing reproducibility. Mould holders, moulds for non-chlorinated plastic thermo- injection, dies for non-chlorinated thermo-plastic extrusion, moulds for blowing, hot chambers, when corrosion resistance is not necessary and several applications in moulds for plastics. Not recommendable for applications in which toughness and mirror-like finish grade are design requirements.
