General Exhibition Rules

Damage: Exhibitor will be required to make good all damages (or make payment) to the fair facilities caused during the installation/dismantl ing / fair period.

Violation of Rules: The organizers reserve the right to decide on the fulfillment of the rules and have the authority to demand removal /change of any structure, which is found not in accordance with therules and can also cancel a confirmed booking without giving anyreason/notice. The decision of the organizers will be final and binding.

Cancellation: In case of cancellation of participation by the exhibitor, the organizer will forfeit 100% space rental or any advance payment received.

Sale of Exhibits: Exhibitors are allowed to conduct negotiations for sale subject to mandatory clearance from Excise & Sales Tax Department and a lso ensure that exhibit will not be removed during the exhibition hours. E xhibits to be displayed during the fair can be brought 1 daybefore the s tart of the Fair.

Stand Completion: 1 day before the start of the fair by 1400 hrs with all exhibits in position. Work will not be allowed after that due to security reasons.

Movement of Vehicles: Vehicles containing the exhibition material will be allowed up to a certain point.

Removal: Removal of any exhibit during the fair period is prohibited. All material is to be removed on the last day of the fair. Organizerswill not be responsible if any Exhibitor fails to comply with these dates.Overnight security not be provided on the last day of the fair.

17) Electricity Available at 230V single phase and 440V 3 phase AC/DC. Electricity will be charged @ Rs 650 Per KW per day during the fair Apart from basic facilities, any consumable related to wiring / connection would be charged @ Rs 1500 per every 5 KW power load by the contractor.

B. The organizers will provide general lighting in indoor & open area. Exhibitors requiring special lighting/ power to demonstrate machinery would need to apply with full details latest by at least 25 days before the start of the Fair.

C. The organizers will provide electricity at a suitable point near to exhibitor's Stall/ Space. Internal distribution to the Machinery/ Equipment will have to be completed by exhibitor at his own cost only through the licensed contractor appointed by CII for the Fair.

18) Insurance: Against all ascertainable risks from transportation to display and removal would be done by EXHIBITOR at his own cost. Organizer will in no way be responsible.

The Organizer will provide the following facilities in a fully furnished booth

Each booth will have modular structure, fascia with company name, one electric plugpoint- 5/15 amps, synthetic carpet, waste paper basket & general security during the fair period.

1) Organizer: CONFEDERATION OF INDIAN INDUSTRY (CII), Northern Region, Block No. 3, Dakshin Marg, Sector 31-A Chandigarh 160030, INDIA.

3) Exhibitor: Any company/Organization/State/Country participating in the exhibition. Organizer reserves the right of participation.

Exhibitors opted for Raw space are responsible for their own stand design and construction. All facilities will be provided on Payment basis. The organizer would be pleased to offer advice and guidance if required.

19) S afety & Security: Safety and security of all exhibits in the stalls will be responsibility of the exhibitors only.

20) Photography: The organizer retain the right to photograph any exhibit for their use.

21) Settlement of Dues: Any and all expenses chargeable to an Exhibitor must be settled before the close of the Fair to ensure smooth removal of goods from the Event site.

22) Extra Furniture: Extra furniture will be available with the contractor on chargeable basis.

23) B inding Terms of Contract: The submission of the agreement form d uly signed by an authorized officer of the applicant company shall be d eemed as confirmation of participation and acceptance of becomes e ffective as soon as the organizers have confirmed the allotment of space t o the applicant. Dispute if any, will be subject to Chandigarh Jurisdiction.

27) The volume of music played or announcement done at the exhibition area should not exceed the ambient noise standards by 10 db (A) as per Ministry of Environment and Forests Guidelines.”

28) Exhibitors managing Cafeteria/ Food Stalls are required to maintain standards as specified by the organizers .29) Ban on use of Poly Bags: Uttar Pradesh has imposed a b an on u se of polythene/plastic carry bags for supply of goods. Exhibitors are requested to make adequate arrangement for supply / sale of goods.

25) Phonographic Performance Ltd (PPL) License: It is mandatory for all those exhibitors who want to play music in the form of Records, Music cassettes, CD’s, Radio, TV or Audio-Visual etc. during the exhibition at their stalls to attract visitors need to take prior license from Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) in respect of the repertoire its music labels.

26) Exhibitors to take permission from competent authority for playing patented music.

24) VAT/ Sales Tax Formalities: Participation / Sale of Exhibits are subject to mandatory clearance from Excise & Sales Tax Department. All Exhibitors are required to produce necessary clearance before taking possession of the stall.

8) # Payment Schedule: Advance 50% of the total amount to be deposited within 15 days of the date of Proforma Invoice. Balance Payment to be deposited before 4 September 2017. Booking received after 13 September will be accepted with 100% payment.

9) Force Majeure: If the event is abandoned, canceled or suspended in

whole or in part by reasons of war, fire, national emergency, labour dispute, non-availability of exhibition premises or any of the clause not with in the control of the organizers, the organizers at their own discretion repay the rental paid by the exhibitor and shall be under no liability in respect of any action/claim for loses.

NOTES:A. # The prospective EXHIBITOR should apply on the agreement for

participation, together with advance payment including 50% space rentals and security deposit (10% of space rental-adjustable on actual electricity consumption). All booking will be made on first-cum-first-serve basis subject to receipt of all advance payments. All payment should be made by Demand Draft payable to CONFEDERATION OF INDIAN INDUSTRY, NORTHERN REGION payable at Chandigarh.

Please note that the balance of security deposit will be refunded after adjusting the electricity charges based on actual consumption.

B.

ORGANIZERS will not provide overnight security on the day prior to the exhibition and the last day of the exhibition.
