Luis began developing his interest in photog-raphy by studying with well know photogra-pher, Jack Stuler, while attending the Collegeof Architecture at Arizona State University.

Upon receiving his architecture degree, Luisjourneyed to Sierra Leone, Africa, where hespent two years in the Peace Corps. In-trigued with the spontaneity of everyday lifein Africa, his camera became a constantcompanion.

His images have been said to seduce theeye, drawing viewers in closer to interpretthe power of the story they are working toportray. His images are honest, spiritual,and many times express a surreal quality.

and elevations; specification of products and fin-ishes; cost estimating; contract documentpreparation; permit expediting; construction in-spection and final installation. Shown here is ahouse remodel in the Arcadia area of Phoenix,Arizona.

A major part of the program included shad-ing the back yard from the west sun andmaking it useful year round. A focal wallwhich contains storage in the back alsoshows off a water feature and fire pit. Ahome office/studio was also added to thepatio under the new shade structure.

The program for this project also in-cluded removing all remnants of the1950’s from plumbing and wiring toaesthetics. Several walls were re-moved to create a more open livingspace. The new kitchen was movedto a different location within thehouse and a new bathroom was cre-ated. An exiting bathroom was com-pletely remodeled.

The custom kitchen cabinets andbathroom vanities were fabricated inMassachusetts by R & P Woodwork-ing, the manufacturer of all AntoineProulx furniture. Most of the furni-ture in the house was selected fromthe Antoine Proulx and Gary Huttoncollections. Much of the artwork isfrom Scooter Laforge and LuisSalazar.

The guest bedroom, top (left and right), is furnished with a customized An-toine Proulx bed and a desk and end tables from the collection. The paint-ing, left, is by Matthew Benedict.

For the master bedroom, above (left and right) a suite was created by elim-inating an unwanted bedroom. The sofa is by Gary Hutton and the bed,bench, chairs, and coffee table are Antoine Proulx. The collage above thesofa is by Scooter Laforge.
