High Risk Screening MBI, 22% Lifetime Risk by Claus Model
Case History:
• 62 y/o with recent negative screening mammography referred for management of high risk status
• Abnormal MBI scan with focal uptake posterior LIQ left breast
• Diagnostic mammography and US demonstrated no significant findings , just a subtle 1.2 cm mass at 7:00 approximately 4 cm from the nipple by US
• 9 gauge vacuum-assisted needle USCN bx results: ILC & LCIS
• Breast MRI showed 1.4 cm index lesion and adjacent 6mm ILC satellite and extensive LCIS in posterior LIQ left breast
• Final surgical pathology results: 1.2 cm ILC with adjacent 6mm ILC satellite and extensive LCIS in posterior LIQ left breast pathology staging: pT1c(m), pN0(sn), cM0, Stage 1A
