centennial updateThe Centennial Committee is making progress. They still need monetary donations to fund the construction of the exhibit at the Western Reserve Historical Society.

The exhibit, 100 Years of Lighting in Cleveland is set to open at the end of May. The exhibit will remain open through January 2007. This is sure to be an excellent display representing Cleveland’s contribution to the lighting industry.

day of the event. We need several volunteers to help with golf-day registration and contests. Golf experience is not

necessary to volunteer. Several sponsorships have been committed, however there are still sponsor opportunities for the beer, tee packets, putting contest, money shot, and several prize categories, including the Grand Prize. Contact Terry Kilbourne (440-953-8760) for more informa-tion on sponsorship and volunteer opportunities.

If you can budget $425 you not only are assured a great day of golf, fun and food for yourself and 3 friends or business associates, you will receive a sponsorship sign displayed prominently on a tee box. Please keep the IES Cleveland Section Golf Event in mind, and do what you can. Remember the scholarships and educational programs benefit local students and members.

Time’s flyin’! The Annual Golf Event is just around the corner.

If you haven’t already done so, now is the time to register for the IES Golf Outing this June at the beautiful Lake MetroParks Pine Ridge Country Club in Wickliffe. Write Friday, June 9th on your calendar. We had a great time at last year’s outing and raised over $4000 for the IES Scholarship and Education Fund.

I hope as you planned your financial budgets and time allocated to support organization events you included the IES Cleveland Section Golf Event. A successful golf outing requires the support of the members in the form of financial contribution and volunteers during the planning and throughout the
