    An average lung transplant procedurecosts about $100,000 to $200,000

    Anti- Rejection

    Drugs A new drug is being used as an inhaliant to help

    with the body rejecting the new lung

    Cyclosporine is being tested and is proving toimprove the survival rate and reduce therejection of new lungs

    Cyclosporine is an inhaled drug that is helping tocombat organ rejection following transplant

    Limited physical activity

    No strenous activity

    Avoid being around smoke

    Immunosuppressive therapy

    6 to 12 week program of physical rehab

    3 times a week aerobic excercise

    heart rate and workload monitored

    encouraged to maintain regular scedual ofaerobic exercise
