Unsure of which courses to take in your first semester?
Why not try a Luther Bundle?
What is a bundle?
It’s a grouping of first semester courses that meet basic degree requirements. The courses fit together well and will give you a good start at University, no matter what degree you decide to pursue. Bundles are based on possible careers (i.e. pre-medicine, pre-journalism, social work, etc...), and general themes (i.e. social justice, international, etc...).
Why use a bundle?
It makes registering for your first semester easier and gives you several Luther courses. These bundles have a good weekly schedule and spacing between final exam dates.

English-Science Bundle Plus Interdisciplinary Studies+
• Uniquely designed for Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry majors and pre-professional health science students (Dentistry, Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine).
• Required Biology, Chemistry and English courses bundled for easy registration and scheduling.
• Meet other students with similar interests – form study groups and friendships.
• Your English courses focus on scientific themes in literature and technical writing for the natural sciences. You’ll learn to write with clarity, precision, and effectiveness – important tools for scientists.
Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) is about understanding issues from multiple perspectives and putting what you learn to work.
Examples of Luther IDS course topics:
• Learn about the historical roots and current practice of piracy—more than just the Caribbean!
• Want to be really, really effective in your life? What is agency, and how can you develop it?
• Did you know that a major source of employment for university grads is in the public sector? How does the volunteer sector work?
• What’s an ecomuseum? Did you know they are popping up all over the place, including in Saskatchewan? Want to help work on one, see how these kinds of multidisciplinary projects develop, and get practical skills along the way?
• What are the maquiladoras in Mexico? How are they related to what you read in the news about Mexico, and why should you care?
In Luther IDS courses you will:
• Explore specific topics from multiple perspectives
• Use a flexible and open classroom environment which includes discussions, projects, and unique assignments
• Emphasize practical experiences and skills
