Step 1: Download the Google Drive app and sign in (or set up) a gmail account

If you already have a gmail address, you can enter it here and sign in. If you don’t have an account, touch “More Options” and create one.

TIP: If you’re creating a new account, you can skip the phone number section if you don’t have a phone available to receive a text.

**Don’t forget to write down your username and password in a safe place**

Step 2: Create a folder in Google Drive to save your assignments

This will help you find your assignments later.

Touch the + button at the bottom right to create a new folder.

Select “Folder” and give your folder a name

Touch “create” to create the folder.

Make as many folders in Google Drive as you’d like. You can use the Google Drive app to save all kinds of files - photos, videos, etc

Step 3: Sign in to Google Drive in the Notability App

You only have to to this one time and it will remain signed in to Google Drive.

Open the Notability app and touch the gear at the bottom left corner

Touch “Manage Accounts”

Touch “Log In” next to Google Drive

Touch “close” after you’ve completed the sign in (the button next to Google Drive will say “log out” if you’re successful)

Step 4: Sign into Google Drive on edmodo.com

You will not have to repeat this step again, either. We are going to connect your new Google Drive account to Edmodo and it will remember from now on.

Open SAFARI and go to edmodo.com

Touch the backpack icon

Touch Google Drive

Touch “Connect with Google Drive” and follow the instructions to sign in with your Gmail account.

Tip: If you haven’t added a phone number to your google account, it will prompt you to do that. It’s a good idea to do this if you have a phone available, since it will help you recover your password if you forget it. If you don’t have a phone available, you can just touch “done” and skip that part when you get to it.

Step 5: Turn in your homework!

Now that you have Google Drive connected everywhere, it’s pretty simple to use it to turn in homework.

Open a note in Notability and touch the “share” button

Touch “Send to Google Drive”

Log in if you haven’t already

Find your assignment. You can scroll through the main feed or you can touch the name of your class group (on the left) to narrow it down
