Food & Cooking Holidays in India
This luxury chef tour emphasizes on various types of Indian food and Indian cooking. In addition
to the historical city of Jodhpur, the tour covers the Golden Triangle of India consisting of
Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. A must see for foodie travelers who want a special introduction to the
expansive Indian cuisine. Experience the best of Northern and West Indian cuisines, including
sightseeing of all major as well as lesser known landmarks in all the cities visited. The culinary
activities will be guided by a chef, to fully immerse you with every detail India has to offer.
DAY 1: Food Tour of Delhi Our first day begins with food tour of Delhi, starting with New Delhi tour followed by visit to Indian home with
some lessens & demonstration of Indian cooking in Indian local family.

Arrival at Delhi internatioal airport. Meeting assistance on arrival at airport with fresh flower garland. Later
transfer to your respective hotel.
Room reserved from 12 Noon.
Afternoon proceed for visit to New delhi, visiting Humyuns Tomb, a predecessor of Taj-Mahal built in 16th
Century , a beautiful Mughal era Monument. Thereafter visit Qutub Minar, highest Victory Tower , built by
Slave general of the Army to commemorate his victory, at the end of 12th Century.
In the evening learn Indian cooking the most authentic way possible. This half
day cooking class will be led by a chef and his local Indian family. You’ll learn
to cook proper Indian meals consisting of pulao, daal (lentils), egg plant, raita
(mde by yogurt) , rotis (flat Indian breads)/ stuffed paranthas (stuffed and fried
rotis), vegetables and more. Dessert will be in form of halwa. Along with
cooking class, you will also learn the basics of using Indian spices. The cooking
class will end with a meal of all the things cooked by you. All the participants
will also receive a small gift hamper of some of the basic Indian spices used in a
typical north-Indian kitchen.

DAY 2: Delhi
After Breakfast you will leave for sightseeing to visit Akshardham Temple which was inaugurated on 6th
November 2005. It took 300,000,000 volunteer hours to make the complex and over 8,000 volunteers from
across the world participated in building it. This temple is built from intricately carved sandstone and marble.
In the afternoon visit Old Delhi. Drive past Red Fort, visit Jama Masjid and thereafter drive past India Gate,
Rajpath and Sikh Temple. This area is the favorite family picnic spot for residents of New Delhi and is
quite picturesque, especially after dark.
In the Evening Dinner at Indian specialty restaurant Chor Bazaar.

DAY 3: Visit to Taj Mahal. (Delhi – Agra)
After Breakfast leave for Agra.. Agra was capital of Mughal Empire for a long time and it’s quite obvious from
their lavish palaces and the attention to detail visible in every aspect of the construction.

On reaching enjoy lunch in the best Restaurant of the city called "Pinch of Spices".
Thereafter check in hotel.
Late afternoon visit Agra Fort made of red sandstone in 15th century by renowned Mughal Emperor Akbar
Evening starts most interesting Food Walk to experience some popular
street food. While walking you shall taste lots of local delicious Cuisine
of the City.

Day 4: (Agra – Jaipur) Early in the Morning leave for Taj Mahal, to enjoy 8th wonder of the World and a sign of eternal Love by
Sunrise. You may also wish to take some pictures on the marble benches just like some world known celebrities.
Thereafter
back to hotel to
have Breakfast and proceed for Jaipur, a Pink City visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute.
Fatehpur Sikri – Lying 37 kilometres southwest of Agra, this magnificent fortified ghost city was constructed by
Akbar in 1659 to honour the Chishti Saint, Sheikh Salim, who foretold the birth of Akbar's son, Jahangir. The
city is a combination of Hindu and Persian architecture, and is in a remarkable state of preservation. It is a fine
example of a Mughal city at the height of the empire’s splendour. Akbar's court occupied this city until it was
abandoned, after the local wells went dry.

In the evening proceed for excursion to Chokhi Dhani to visit Ethnic Rajasthani theme village resort followed
by traditional Rajasthani Dinner.

Day 5: Fun with Elephants, Jaipur After Breakfast visit Amber Fort, which is mounted with the Elephant
ride and takes 20 minutes to reach. On the Way photo Stop of Hawa
Mahal, also known as the Palace of Wind. It is a 5 story tall monument
with intricate lattice work and has 953 small jharokhas (windows).
After enjoying the meal, you shall leave for Jantar Mantar, an
Observatory built in 1927 with the foundation of city to measure a time
with the help of shadow being made by Sunrays. Here up to 2 seconds of
time can be read. Thereafter
Royal Residence of present Maharaja Family and Museum called
City Palace.
After sightseeing enjoy Cycle-Rikshaw ride and reach local
markets which are very colorful, fragrant and full of life with lots
of people selling lots of things in their shops such as shoes,
bangles, jewellery, clothes, utensils, spices, artifacts.
Dinner at local Indian restaurant with live Rajasthani dance
performance.

DAY 6: Jaipur - Ossian After breakfast, we will be start driving towards Osian early morning and reach there in about 6 hours.
Thereafter check in in Osian, a campsite in desert about 45-50 minutes drive from main Jodhpur city.

After lunch, guests will have some time free to rest or walk around or
can visit Osian Hindu and Jain Temple. It will be the first night out
close to nature and away from the crowd of cities. A desert safari on a
camel or jeep in evening is also possible.

DAY 7: Jodhpur
On this day, proceed for excursion to Jodhpur city to see the major attractions of this Blue city. During the
sightseeing tour, guests will visit awe inspiring Mehrangarh Fort which stands 122 m above the city level. The
Fort complex includes attractions such as Fool Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sheesha Mahal, and Takh Vilas, each one of
which is a major attraction by itself. Later on the sightseeing can include a other Jodhpur attractions like
Balsamand Lake, Jaswant Thada, Mandore Gardens and a few other depending upon available time.
In the evening, we will drive back to campsite and rest for a while before joining the chef for a detailed
demonstration of traditional Mewari cooking. Food prepared during this
cooking demo will be served for dinner.

DAY 8: Jodhpur – Ranakpur - Udaipur Another early morning wakeup call and we drive towards Udaipur with a rest and sightseeing stop at the famous
Jain Temples of Ranakpur. These temples were constructed between 14th to 15th century and is famous for its
unique architecture and 1444 marble pillars, each one carved in exquisite detail. Later, we’ll proceed on our way
to Udaipur and reach there by evening. After check in at hotel, it’ll be time for exploring the streets of charming
Udaipur and relaxing by beautiful Lake Pichola.
Unforgettable evening dinner at Ambrai Restaurant along the Lake Pichola.

Day 9: Udaipur After breakfast in the hotel, depart for city tour of Udaipur, beautiful city of lakes, palaces and fountain. Maharana Udai
Singh sought shelter here from the Mughal hordes and then carried to fashion a city out of the silent vale. Visit royal
residence of present Maharaja City Palace Museum - grandeur and intricacy stroked all over in Granite, Marble and
Mosaic displayed in the sparkling white filigreed balconies and windows. Also visit royal Garden Sahelion Ki Bari the
spectacular garden displaying the unique life style of the royal ladies who once lived in the palace.
Enjoy boat-ride on Lake Pichola in the evening, which is surrounded by hills on three sides. From little islands in the Lake
rise at the water’s edge palaces of pure white marble.

In the evening visit Rajasthani modern family and enjoy cooking
demonstration at Mrs. Anuradha Rathore residence.

Day 10: Udaipur – Delhi by flight On this last day of the food tour in India, morning after your breakfast you will drive to Udaipur airport
connecting flight Delhi and back to home.
